more info on john hardin
I have found some additional information on your John Thomas Hardin, I didnt want to post all of it here because I didnt know if you had it anyway or if you would want it to be public, but I have a transcribed copy of the 1880 census which lists him and family, (wife and several children) still looking for a possible burial record which might help locate his plot. you can email me directly if youd like and ill send you what ive found so far. my public email is kissamedeadly@yahoo.com make sure to put find a grave in the topic so i dont accidentally delete it as spam. (i use this email for all my public communication so i check it regularly, my private email is for close friends and family only)or if you dont object, i can post what i have here, just let me know either way. thanks.

RE: John Thomas Harden
your welcome, sorry i wasn't much help, if you wouldn't mind sharing any additional info you might have on him or his family names that might be associated with him, it might turn up a lead in the county records etc. i will also check a few nearby cemeteries i plan on visiting in the next few weeks, just in case it is not the city cemetery itself but another Manchester cemetery.

Hi there!
I didn't take the headstone photo, but there's a link under the photo to the person who did take the picture. I've been going through Roane County Death Certificates searching for my ancestors & will create a memorial for a non-relative from a death certificate if it has complete information. I don't live in Tennessee. I do photograph headstones in cemeteries near me and often find headstones that have fallen and are almost completely covered with grass. I'm sure the reason there's so much space between stones in some of these old cemeteries is that headstones have gotton completely submerged into the ground.
