I retired from teaching middle school to over 5,000 students in 33 years. My husband no longer teaches, but his class rosters were never as big as mine. Our daughters are grown with careers in social work and politics; so they continue the family tradition working with long lists of names, I guess. I am searching for the family names: Collins (b-4 1798 in GA/SC), Bond (b-4 1785 in NC), Middleton (b-4 1770 in SC), Anderson (b-4 1785 in SC), Dennis (b-4 1765 in SC/VA), Maddox(b-4 1713 in VA), Graham, Green(e)(b-4 1775 in GA), Golden(b-4 1735 in VA), Walker (b-4 1807 in GA/NC) | |

 | RE: Ottie B Graham Hi Marguerite, I'm afraid I don't have much information about Ottie, but I'm happy to give you what I can. Ottie was born to Thomas Jefferson Jackson and Armitta Coutiele Abbott Graham. He and his family came to California sometime after 1940 as they were still in Oklahoma at that time and his father was living with them. I believe they moved west after TJJ died in 1964. Ottie died in Modesto, CA in 1989 and his wife Alta Mae Wright Graham, dau of Loyd Thomas and Addie Lavona Pitts Wright, died in 2001 in northern California at Corning, CA. Most of the family is buried in Oklahoma and I have only been able to locate one brother in Stanislaus County, Ursia DeWitt Graham who is buried in La Grange, CA. That's about all I have in a nutshell. I hope it helps. All the best. Ed

 | Re: Dennis Hello Marguerite, and welcome to the Find A Grave neighborhood. You wrote the below on my public message page: ...Dudley H Dennis was the son of Sarah and Simeon Dennis - he was born in 1842 ~ Is he a relative of yours? His father was the brother of my ggggrandfather, Charles Aikens Dennis....
No, I am not related to him, thank you for the info, it helped me find out more about him. I always add a poem and try to add at least some family info before I transfer. Check the page out if you like, and correct me on any errors that I might have made. If you would like I will transfer him to you, but give me a 30 days, and if I haven't done so, please remind me. You are fortunate that there is a lot of info on this Dennis family. Sincerely, Janet Milburn _If this message comes through in duplication, please delete one or both of them. ____________________________________ | | | | [View all messages...] |
