I am a 56 year old pest control technician. Family history has been my hobby since 1990. I drove hundreds of miles to search census records, visit grave sites, etc during the beginning of my endeavors. Then the Internet came along and this has been a gold mine for researchers ! FindaGrave.com has been very helpful to me, so I have started contributing my photos of gravesites to them.
Photographs of tombstones may be used on other sites. I took them and posted them with the hope that they will help someone else.
If you request a photo from a large cemetery, such as Arlington, and Woodlawn, please give me a general location as to where it can be found. I am sorry, but I do not have the time to canvass large cemeteries.

I am sorry i am late replying!!! We have had much excitement for the past few months, we will be expecting our first limb to our family tree in December!
That is awesome! I love finding family members!
We are indeed related! I find the Shinn family line quite interesting, and confusing at times!

Hello! Yes I believe I am related to BDR & Martha Shinn. I am a 4rth Great grand daughter. I am related through my grandmothers side, there are Shinns through her fathers side and her mothers side. We have Elizabeth Shin who married David Harkey, a Eliza Shinn who married a Reed, and BDR & Martha.

Wow, Dennis .... I am VERY appreciative of your photos! I guess a lot of people don't want to fool with these small cemeteries like this, especially one out of the way. But I'm convinced that your photography work will be greatly treasured in years to come. Keep up the good work, man!!!

You are very welcome. Glad to get it for you. Sorry about the mess around her marker, but it's not dirt or clay. It's fire ants and if you know anything about them, you just cannot mess with them - even in the winter months,

Hey, Dennis! I just noticed some tombstone photos that you posted on some memorials that I created at Knowles Cemetery in Union Co., AR.....thank you so much for doing this! I've noticed a few other at other cemeteries also, and I really appreciate your contributions.

I sent an email to email@example.com, with an explanation as to what was said...I copied the message and sent it to them. I am going to delete it, after I hear from findagrave... They are very slow sometimes, but hopefully we will btoh hear back from them.
How did you find out that I got one from her? I get this trash in email, but I don't want it on findagrave. Hopefully they can find a way to stop people like this from joinging findagrave and doing this to those of us that use this website correctly.
I've been to the Purgamus cemetery on several occasions and have posted all of the marked headstones which most being of my Poindexter line. There are several unmarked graves there which could possibly be where some of the Keeton's are buried.
