Hi Robert,
Sorry I didn't see your message until now. I was a Smith and married a Smith but the Smiths from that area are connected to my husband. Harbard Smith Sr., Nathan Smith, Captain Billy Smith, and Everett Smith were all his great (not sure how many for each one) grandfathers. My Smiths were from Marion County and traced back to one lone Schmidt who came over during the Revolutionary War.
Anyway, I have a little information on the Smiths and would be more than happy to share what I do have.
