Charles, I see you have added several pictures of Christina Wallace. Her sister, Lavinia, was my great grandmother. Do you have any pictures of Christina and Lavinia that you would be willing to share? Lin (#47536376)

RE: Giving up!
Charles I did not have any questions to answer. I was not insulting you. If you take it that way so be it. If you don't like my opinion it is nothing to me.

RE: Giving up!
Charles,
I do not do this for a living. It is all volunteer. That means lots of more important things come before this. I do not need to list my email as I end up with people wanting me to do research and I do not do that. Second of all, all of my information came from the actual burial records. So the info provided to the funeral home was given by whoever was providing the info at the time. Find a grave is a site for burial and final disposition records, not biographies. By "correcting" my "wrong" information you are falsifying the actual burial records. Do as you wish but in my experience of doing this for 30 years, I want the info exactly as it is listed in the appropriate record. That is why we list sources in our genealogy. I see people like you turning a burial information site into false data and that irritates me. I spent so many hours pouring over the handwritten data, recording it into the computer, then uploading it and all people can complain about is how my data is "wrong". From Find a Graves own FAQ

"What is Find A Grave?
Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission."

RE: Giving up!
Charles some people have a life other than Find a Grave. Remember, we are volunteers. Second of all, this information is from the burial records. It may not match your information exactly as it is based on the information provided by the next of kin. Find patience in your life please.

Non-response to Messages
Hello Charles; I also am frustrated! Do you think there is a breakdown in the Find-A-Grave system?

Bear with me on this. I submit a lot of suggested editing and linking for members of my family tree. About half of my inquires go unanswered. I use the "EDIT" function. I create a message and Find-A-Grave then forwards the message to the listed contributor. Supposedly, the contributor receives the message.

NOW! I believe at this point, if the message is not delivered, notification should be returned to Find-A-Grave and we as the originator of the message should be notified that it cannot be delivered. I believe that Find-A-Grave is not being made aware of undeliverable messages, or is choosing to do nothing about this situation.

Also, I believe that a number of the contributors are no longer on line, and have not transferred the memorials they are responsible for. However, a message sent to them should be returned as undeliverable.

It is frustrating to try to edit and link memorials within a system that may have flaws in it. Or a bunch of contributors that do not desire to correspond with any one trying to edit and link memorials. Just my thoughts!! Regards.

Re: Are you there?
Hello Charles; I have forwarded via "EDIT", a request of "Mary Phea" for editing and linking of a family tree memorial. I usually wait for a reasonable time, then resend my "EDIT". If no response, I go to messages such as we are doing now. Still, if no response, I either ignore or go to Find-A-Grave. In this case I will go to Find-A-Grave. About half of my requests for editing and linking go unanswered. Regards.

Re: Are you there?
Hello Charles. I noticed your above question of "Mary Phea", and was wondering if you had received a response. I have editing and linking for memorials that she manages, but, if she is off-line, will hold up. Regards.
