This site has helped me a lot so I thought I would help contribute to it! As for me, my family names are Koch, Mast, Fountain, Gonyea, and Bodary on my father's side and Adams, Bay, Reed, Voorhies, Griffin, Hayes, and Milford on my mother's side. I have been researching my genealogy for years but have only recently been able to make some big discoveries (one thanks to this site!).
The transfer of any memorials to me that are linked through my virtual cemeteries would be much appreciated!
I live right next door to Southfield Cemetery in Michigan, and often go walking through it, so I have made it my project to make memorials for ever gravestone there (if there isn't one already). If you would like one done before others, please let me know! | |

 | RE: David Hayward Not related. I took the photo and had no place to put it. Glad to hear that it helped someone. | | | Mary Meadows
 | William Heberling Can you please put the request for William back on the cemetery? I accidently put the wrong William on there and accidently deleted the photo I took of the right one. | | | RozaSharn
 | WOW! I just read Ira, Jr's obit. How fascinating! | | | RozaSharn
 | RE: Ira Adams Hi! I transferred Ira to you! I'm not related. I'm just a Cemetery Nerd that tries to snap photos in cemeteries and share to help folks (like you) connect to their kin. | | | Robert Dunbar Austin Jr
 | RE: Southfield and research I was not aware there were two sections---is the other section you are talking about about a block away? I did look there but I was following my GPS which led me to the big section. The Austins are over by the fence furthest from the entrance. There are two large DUNBAR markes--mid cemetery. The Alonzo Dunbar I was unable to find was quite a bit earlier (older). The info I recieved from Parks and Rec gave me a listing of all the Dunbars supposedly buried in Southfield but there are supposed to be more. Thanks for the concern. | | | Robert Dunbar Austin Jr
 | RE: Southfield Cemetery Onwe of the interestings I have learned is that when you are looking for grave markers--they are sometimes buried under several inches of dirt--especially if they are old. I take a metal probe, a small broom and a garden trowel to uncover them for a photo. | | | Robert Dunbar Austin Jr
 | Ancestors Actually there is a lot of info on this site---I have learned a lot that I did not know about my ancestore----I have placed a lot of the old ones on here in order that others who are seeking info will be helped. Not all information is factual as I have discovered several mistakes/incorrect dates wrong descendants ie. Al in all it is a very good resource. One thing that irks me is that people fail ti link parents, siblings ect. | | | Robert Dunbar Austin Jr
 | RE: Southfield Cemetery Actually, I was there last summer. I replaced my grandfathers stone back on the base(Fredrick Austin) I believe there are more of my ancestors there that I missed. Alonzo Dunbar is one I missed--I need to contact Parks and Rec for more info. All Dunbars in this Cemetery are related to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the reply. | | | Ronald Schultz
 | RE: John and Helen Stewart Yes please send the other pictures and I will see what I know about them. Again thank you.
