|Carol ||Your comment about getting info from cems|
You'd think the cems would want any corrections in their databases.
I think one reason not to give out info is for identity theft.
It occurred to me today, with the transgender population coming out, name changes for gender will really confuse people. Would it be kosher to note that??? (Rhetorical)

I found Joshua and Henrietta's obits.
From the Eureka Herald, June, 05,1913.
Henrietta (Fisher) Ballenger
Mrs. Henrietta Ballenger, aged 79 years, died at her home in Eureka on Sat., May 31, after a lingering illness of several months' duration.
Mrs. Ballenger was born in Winchester, Ind., April 4, 1834. She was married to Joshua Ballenger in 1851. They moved to Illinois in 1856. Four years later to Lancaster, Mo., and in 1875 came to Greenwood co., locating on a farm near Eureka. Here they lived until Mr. Ballenger's death in 1900, after which Mrs. Ballenger moved to Eureka, where she has since made her home. She was the mother of eight children, three of whom survive her. They are E.E. Ballenger of near Eureka, Mrs. Alice Jewett on Monett, Mo.,and Mrs. Eva Melvin of Lancaster, Mo.
Funeral services were conducted at the residence Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock by Rev. S.L. Chase. At Greenwood Cemetery the services were in charge of W.R.C., of which Mrs. Ballenger was a member.

There was a mistake made when Henrietta's memorial page was created. She was born in 1834, not 1864. I didn't mention that in my message. I thought I put the corrected dates down. This is according to the Greenwood Cemetery records. Joshua was born in 1825, which makes him 9 years older. I'm going to the museum later and I will look for both obits. They are usually on file there. If I find them I'll let you know.

There is no headstone for Henrietta. Joshua's is there. Henrietta was born 04-04-1834 and died 05-31-1913.
I hope this is of some help.

Thank you so much for posting the photos for Lyle and Robert Gleason, which also shows for Irene's. It is really nice to see them on the memorial pages.
I just got moved halfway across the country, so am finally getting back in the findagrave project.
Have a fun summer!
