Burrous Allen Critcher Your entry for MY paternal grandfather contains some incorrect information, which we have no idea where you got it from. He NEVER had a nickname at all, let alone the one "Burris" which you assigned to him. Kindly remove this error, thanks.
Roger Anson Critcher, Jr. Please correct your entry for the above-named relative of mine. We believe you must have confused him with his father, Roger Anson Critcher, Sr., since you listed his death year as 1957 which is actually his father's, and you listed siblings who are actually his AUNTS and UNCLES. Also, Roger Jr., was born here in Williamston, not in Granville County. You do have the correct footmarker pictured for him. Also there are other Critcher siblings omitted from yours and other entries concerning my grandfather, Burrous Allen Critcher Sr. and my great-uncle Titus S. Critcher. They are: Mabel S. Critcher, Granville Co., N.C., Aug. 13, 1882-July 17, 1893; Percy V. Critcher, Granville Co., N.C., April 29, 1889-1980, and Burrell Duke Critcher, Nash County, N.C., June 13, 1894-1980. Thanks.
RE: Maude Lee Rogerson Holliday Hi Garry, I am out of town on vacation and will get back Saturday night. If you don't mind, I will be happy to transfer people to you but it may need to wait until I get home. Also, I have a limited amount of free internet time at the hotel so if you could provide me the memorial numbers so I don't have to look them up, I could maybe get to them sooner.
Trip was wonderful, we visited several out of the way cemeteries that I am gradually adding.
RE: Yarrell Cemetery Thanks, that cemetery is in pitiful shape. One of these days I may take a weedeater with me and try to hack through enough of it to get to all the headstones. We know who to ask for permission.
RE: Jones Cemetery Bear Grass Hi Garry! Great to hear from you. I did get back to Martin County in late December for 2 days. The first day I took over 700 photos but did not get to Bear Grass. The second day it was pouring rain in the morning. I found the Jones cemeteries, FINALLY, but they are out in the middle of fields and it was just not possible to get to them in the rain, even with my 4 wheel drive and boots! Next time, for sure. Now at least I know where they are, and that is most of the battle. I am starting to catalog my photos and will gradually get them added. I am traveling on business and that makes it hard to pursue my hobby, I mean OBSESSION....
