I have been interested in genealogy and family history for decades. Both of my parent's families have lived in Mississippi since just before the Civil War. Their family names include Barnett, Marshall, Neal, Long, Sims, and Stewart. From 1850 until about 1950, most of these families lived in east central Mississippi, primarily in Neshoba, Kemper, and/or Lauderdale Counties. I am fascinated with the fact that for each of my 16 sets of ggg-grandparents, there are thousands of descendants scattered throughout America, each one a cousin to some small degree. Even though I will never meet the vast majority of them, I enjoy discovering their names through the technology provided by worldwide internet.

Mary Caroline "Callie" Long Marshall (25 Jan 1884 - 24 Oct 1936 Thanks for your kind attention to our photo request. Apologize for the late response but crashed a hard drive & only last week recovered the lost emails. Your diligence & dedication is very much appreciated. Newton Co Memorial Pic You added a gravestone photo to Albert Ezell #64029088. Would you mind added that pic to his wife also (#64029082)? I have made a photo request for her. I realize your pic does not show a DOD for Mary but, if the pic is recent, I would still appreciate your time in adding the one available. If the pic is older, however, & the stone may have been updated in the years since, I will leave the request open for another contributor to add a photo with DOD update. Thanks, A. Clark
Maudie Pyburn Thank you so much for providing me with the photograph of Maudie's grave marker. I had information that she was buried in Sandtown now you helped to verify it. I would like to ask you if there were any other headstones there with the last name Pyburn. I am having such a time finding these family members. Thanks again, C. Anderson
