I am on the Ringgold County Pioneer Cemetery Commission. Over the past 10 years the commission meticulously restored many of our 30+ pioneer cemeteries. We restore stones to their original upright condition or replace stones that are too badly damaged. We clear out trees and old fence lines and install new fences with new gates that have the name of the cemetery made into them. We have spent over $100,000 to restore our pioneer cemeteries in these past 10 years.|
I have been photographing every grave in every cemetery in Ringgold county. I'm not quite halfway done. My completed work so far can be seen at iowagravestones.org. Please do not take photos from iowagravestones and post them on findagrave. I will report you for copyright infringement and you will get banned. If you want a photo posted here submit a photo request or just ask me. I enjoy helping other people but I don't like it when my work gets stolen.
If I can't read the photo I go back to the cemetery and transcribe the stone. Sometimes I will be on my hands and knees with my face a few inches from the stone to transcribe it. I am confident in my transcriptions (I'm a perfectionist) and I don't like making mistakes.
I have no problem transferring memorials for people of which I'm not related. I'm not a memorial hoarder like some people on this site.

Thank you so much of the lovely picture of Caroline Moulton Lewis grave. She was my first cousin 3x removed. I would love to post the picture on my Ancestry tree with credits to you, if I could have your permission to do so. I would also like to copy the picture of her daughter Caroline Lewis which I see was also taken by you. I will await your reply. My email is email@example.com. Thank you again for taking the pictures.

Thank you for notifying me. Do you know the # of the person? It helps us when we need to go to a site.

Nicely done! Good job, thank you! You are correct, I am not related to the Weeda family, so don't need a transfer... - Clc

Thank you, you're very kind. I am related but not closely - she's a 2nd cousin, twice removed. Her Oxenreider great grandparents were my 3-gr-grandparents.
Since there is an obit already posted for her, I doubt I could add much more to her memorial, so I'm find either way. Clc (#47122252)
