I have been interested in genealogy for a very long time. When I discovered findagrave.com, I found a treasure trove of helpful information. I have been accessing information for just over a year, but have now begun to create and maintain memorials. I have always been drawn to cemeteries because as a child my parents took me regularly to place flowers on the graves of loved ones. And, for me, there is a kind of peace that is found unlike any other place....a place to escape the hectic pace of everyday life, and a place of meditation. Also, in some areas where we visited, Decoration Day was a very big day and still continues to be to this day. I enjoy making the family connections on the memorials. In addition to my location, I am also able, at times, to photograph certain areas of DeKalb County, AL and Marshall County, AL.

I'm always glad to add information to any memorial, but I prefer to follow Find A Grave rules for transfers.

RE: Transfer request
Sorry but I don't have ownership of this memorial, the owner is the Rutherford County Historical Society. I did make the picture which you are welcome to use if you want. If you contact the owner thru the edit function on the memorial you can request a transfer from them. I'm sure they will be happy to transfer it to you.
