RE: William L Bandy
Linda, I checked my tree and see that the W Bandy Bible when you click on it was originally added by robertallen19691 to his Johnson family tree. I am directly related when you go back a few generations to George Bandy (1758-1845) and go down to my mother Jacqueline Jean Bandy. Go back to my tree and click on the icon for the "W bandy bible" then you will see who first added it and be able to get back to his tree. Will Lewis Bandy was my 2nd cousin 3 times removed so I only know what my research on he and Sara Jane Elizabeth Brown has. I am most interested in the Bandy line because I was closest to that side of the house growing up. I have connected by part of my Bandy line to the grouping in England that put a book together and it is really good. Best of luck to you. Debbie

RE: William W Brown, Old Mount Ida Cemetery
I checked the Troy city directory on Ancestry, which indicated he died May 27, 1892. US and NY censuses indicate he and his wife Emma/Emily were born in NY. She predeceased him.

RE: Dorotha Poppy
I was sorry to hear that this is not your relative as you thought. Today I was at the library and discovered a new book and in it I found Dorothea maiden name which is Roric. Maybe this will confirm what you may already know. Barb

Isn't it fun and a challenge. I don't know if you know this but Augustus was born in Hanover, Germany, he came to this county in 1833 with his parents, locating in Maryland, than Richland County, Ohio and in 1848 moved to Noble County. He married Mary Jane Rendel on Feb. 7, 1856. He has a brother Henry Poppy who died Sept. 23, 1897 and is buried at Lake View in Kendallville. Memorials and photos are on Find A Grave. His wife is Susanna Rendel who he married Nov. 6, 1856 - father was William Rendel and mother Susan Likes. Before you think I'm so brillant - ha ha, you can read it yourself. Go to, click on genealogy, then click on Noble Cty Records collected by C. J. Whan and then click on Whan Collection. I read this information on obituaries, births & deaths and marriages. Hope this helped a little. Barb
