Hi Lauren,

I'm trying to do some family research but don't have many living relatives with much family history knowledge and almost not documentation.

Based on your posts it looks like we share both Cyrus Perry and Anderson William Perry as direct ancestors. I'm the grandson of William Sherman Perry, the son of Anderson William (I think).
Perhaps you could share some of your knowledge with me.

I can't document beyond Cyrus. Can you share any information/documentation with me?

According to what I found on Ancestry.com, Cyrus was the son of Thomas D Perry. Why does it say Cyrus Perry Jr then on the grave stone that is supposedly his? If he's a junior, wouldn't his father also have been Cyrus?

Any help that you could give me would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Lauren,
About the photo of the headstone. I was looking at the headstone in the cemetery and took a photo of it because I was so mad someone had used black paint to make the letters show up. It looked like black nail polish. I remember thinking how they were defacing the grave marker. I took a photo not knowing if the person related. I still don't know if he does. Do you know his parents and wife and children's names to add to findagrave? I still cannot believe I photographed the headstone. My anger was your gain.
Enjoy
Christen

Hi,
Thank you for the info; I made the change. I have 1845 in my database, so this was a typing error. I hate those! :)
Have a good day,
Pam

Hugh Oliver Johnson
Buried in Johnson Cem., Olive Hill, Carter Co., KY

His wife was Barbara Elizabeth Porter, d/o John Henry Porter and Sallie Shew Porter. Elizabeth was born 14 Nov 1842 in Russell County, Virginia, and died 18 Feb 1927 in Carter County, KY.

She is probably buried next to Hugh in Johnson Cemetery.
If so, could you add her info and link them?

Thanks,
Susan in Phoenix

RE: Densmores in Highland Cemetery, Michigan
Lucia is my Luta M. Densmore and I have born Oct. 1865 in Michigan a daughter of William and Minerva Briggs Densmore. I need her tombstone picture.
George "Garry" William Densmore born 3/27/1858 died 1908 is married on March 2, 1881 to Jennie Smith born 1859 died? Does it read Jane on the stone for her? I do need hers and Garry tombstone photos.
Thanks for the pictures of William and Minerva.
