|I live in Durango, Colorado. Born in Logan County Arkansas. I have been doing genealogy for about 50 years. My main interest is the Fox family, from Germany to Illinois, to Arkansas and beyond. My mother's family, Weatherton, Wethington and other spellings. Love to talk to others regarding the same.|

Hi Charles, That isn't how things work here, and it is against the rules, but I'm not the Find A Grave police. I'd suggest contacting the other person, and see if they would be willing to transfer their memorial to you. Or, maybe you can work something out with them, and they'll delete their memorial. If they aren't related, they should be willing to make a transfer, if it is withing the guidelines. Regardless of the amount of information added to a memorial, duplicates shouldn't be done. Instead, it is always best to ask for a transfer, and then build on the one that was created first.

|Virginia Combs||Fox Family in Germany|
In your bio you mentioned that you had done research on your German ancestors. My great grandfather was born in Saxony, Germany, around 1858. I think he emigrated to the US around 1875. He died in a paper mill accident just before his 38th birthday, leaving a widow and three sons. On my grandfather's birth certificate his name is given as Frederick William Claude Fuchs. His father went by the name of Oswald Fuchs. Some time after his death, my great-grandmother who was English, changed the last name to Fox. Have you come across any German ancestors with the last name Fuchs? I've understood that it's quite a common last name there...

I'm not related to Abbie Fox. The Fox family I am related to all comes from England starting with my dad.
