Response to your message
Hello Shelia,

You had sent me a message in January and I haven't logged onto FindAGrave for a few months. Sorry about the delay!

Yes, I am descended from James and Rachel (Young) Pitts. Their daughter Cynthia Ellen Pitts married Hardy Dean and relocated to Mississippi, owning a plantation in DeSoto County. I have transcribed most of the Dean family cemetery (DeSoto County) if you are interested in some of your distant cousins:-)

In any case, James was my great, great, great, great grandfather. If your ancester (Elizabeth Pitts Warren) is the daughter of James (he did have a daughter by that name), that makes her my great, great, great, great aunt.

I have really enjoyed using FindAGrave to share my genealogical findings. It has also been nice to help others in their research. Have a wonderful first day of Spring!
