I've been doing family genealogy for 30+ years...well before the internet made things so accessible. I have found Find A Grave to be VERY helpful in pointing me to new data in many cemeteries across the country. I live right across the street from West Chester Cemetery with a rich history back to a Revolutionary soldier buried there.

It's time I gave back to the genealogy community! I'm looking forward to caring for my family data at FAG as well as helping others locate and update their family data!

I have a personal family website where I store my genealogy data:
http://www.stagge.net as well as an ancestry.com account.

Please let me know if you see things I need to correct in my postings or if you have additional information to share!

John Hill 1735-1803
There is some incorrect data on his children.
Namely: Thomas Hill was 29 Mar 1772 and married Rebecca Elizabeth Wharton on 19 Feb 1793.

You show Thomas born Mar 8 1772 and married to Elizabeth Rudisell. In fact, Elizabeth Rudisell married a different Thomas Hill b. 28 Mar 1784-1830. He was the son of John Hill born 27 Jul 1762 (not 1772) and son of John Hill 1735-1803.

Make sense?

thanks for what you do.

Hello,
If this is your ancestor, we may be distantly connected. Our family has a tradition that someone many generations back was part Chickasaw. We have no evidence to support this. But our line goes back to these early Ohio settlers. Do you know of any Native American connection?

Thank you
I wanted to thank you, as well as others, that have worked so hard on the John Hill family history. John Hill is my husband's 6th great grandfather. My husband is a history buff specially the Revolutionary War and Civil War and it was so great to find he had family history dating back to the Revolutionary War. It is also such an honor to be related, even if just by marriage, to someone with such a family history.

Sincerely,

Cathy

RE: Cummins family
Thank you Roberta! yes, John Miller married 2 Margarets. After his first wife Margaret died, he married Margaret (Baxter) Cummins, widow of Isaac Cummins, she is my 5th great-grandmother. I really appreciate your help in scouting out the cemetery for me and taking photographs!

RE: Cummins family
Thank you Roberta!

I added the other Cummins names if you would be so kind to add photos, there was also additional names on Stephens photo which I added as well. I will update dates & links from there once I figure out how they fit into the mix. I am sure they are all related.

Thanks! Erin

Hi Roberta! Well did you just jump up from your computer and run right out to the cemetery :-) Thank you for such a lightening speed response! :-) I appreciate seeing the headstones, thank you so much!

May I use the images in my ancestry family tree? I would give you photo credit of course, if you would be kind enough to grant permission.

Thanks again so much!! Erin from Oregon

I am doing research on the Hill Family - looks like our lines cross. Do you have any Hill family pics?
