I am a Victorian era Interior Designer and Couture artisan from California married and living in the south of France.|
My family trees are Hendrickson, Knodel, Schaefer, Schauer, Spencer and the list goes on. My interest in genealogy is deep but I am very new to it and hope to discover as much as possible.
Merci in advance to all contributors!

Welcome to Find A Grave. If you scroll to the bottom of the memorial you will see that "Jerry Reiswig-82nd Airborne" created the memorial. If I remember correctly, he had requested a photo to be taken of David Knodel. I went out to the cemetery and added flowers, cleaned his headstone and took a couple of photos. The top photo shows that he is in the Court of Honor. There are not that many people buried there compared to the veterans buried in other parts of the cemetery. I would have to assume that your relative is being "honored" for some part of his service. To add any photo that you might have, on the right side it says "add photo" and anyone can add a photo. After a total of 5 photos, you need to "sponsor" the memorial. This takes the adds down and allows that person to add more than "5" photos. If you would like for me to remove any of the other photos I would be happy to do so. Ultimate control of the memorial belongs to the person who created the memorial, which is Jerry. If you are a relative, you might want to contact him and ask him if he would transfer the memorial to you However, he too might be related. In the meantime, you can at least add 2 more photos.
Good luck and you will really enjoy being a part of the Find A Grave community!
