I'm brand new to Find A Grave but I've been doing genealogy since the late 1990's and only wish I didn't have this pesky thing called a job that keeps me from spending more time on it than I do! I live in the Pacific Northwest - about 75 miles north of Seattle and I hope to be able to get out to some local cemeteries and gather info & photos to post to Find A Grave as time permits - and definitely plan to do a lot more of it once I retire.|

Thank you Peggy, so much.
I want to add a few things to her obituary, that weren't in it, but will put something up soon for her. She was a wonderful Lady.

Peggy, Thanks for adding the info on Ruth. No need to transfer to me, but thank you for offering. Thanks again for all your work on findagrave.

Thank you so much. I'm thrilled to have her memorial. She is one of 16 children. I have 3 more to find to attach to my grandma and grandpa. You have a great day.

Hi Peggy, I am really new to geneology and was searching for information about my Grandmother Alice. She was raised by Maggie and Vine Matheny. Alice was born a Guyette and was given up for adoption at approx age 2. She was adopted by a family surname Olk. The adoptive mother passed away when she was 5 and was then given to Mr Olk's niece Maggie to raise. Are you by chance related to Maggie? I saw a picture of a Maggie and Vine Matheny and I really hope it's the same one. Maggie lived with my grandmother Alice and her husband Joe until her death in Portland.

I was uploading pictures I had taken in Olin Cemetery and noticed a duplicate entry for Mary Jane Hay Bacon. The memorial you created, Find A Grave Memorial #96010534, in an unknown cemetery corresponds to Memorial #6015237; not as much information filled in, but it was created earlier. The manager of the earlier one is inactive, so you may want to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and have them merge the two entries. Just a heads up :)

This memorial is my mother. She had only passed away the day before you created this memorial, so when I felt able to create one a month later I didn't notice that you had made one already. My mother's memorial is one of the few memorials I cared about creating. I have emailed you also but would be grateful if you delete your memorial so I may complete mine. I would gladly turn over all of my created memorials to you, excluding my immediate family (father, grandparents) in exchange for this favor that would mean so much to me.

Dear Peggy, I was so happy you created Record
Find A Grave Memorial# 134649786 on Aug 21, 2014.
Phyllis was the Mother of my very best friend.
I would like to know if you can add a Memorial for her husband and connect them in Find A Grave?! Phyllis married Richard Frederick Wiles 10 Apr 1945. Richard was born 7 Sep 1923 in Burlington, Skagit, WA. He passed away 5 Dec 2003 in Burlington, WA.
*His urn of ashes were buried with Phyllis August 22, 2014. Lemley Chapel registered his burial* Eventually there will be a headstone or bench for Richard by his loving Phyllis.
You can email me at email@example.com
Thank-you again Peggy for the Memorial. I can also provide pictures. Look forward to hearing from you.
Aleda Jeanne Owen.

Thank you for the information. I won't enter any Navy "tokens" for him. I am not related to either him or Edith; I became a part of Find A Grave nearly four yrs. ago after I found my mother's memorial, which really confused me, at first, then the memorials of my grandparents on this site. At the time, they were under the care of a person who is really involved with Find a Grave in Oregon, David Bollman. He helped me out at least once a day for at least a few months when I 1st was in Find A Grave as he had most of my relatives in Linn, Polk and Multnomah Cos. here in Oregon. He explained everything and was so very patient with me, I've felt like I'd like to "pay it forward" as it were. Whenever I now find a death certificate that Diane Greb has posted (she did this for so many of the people who were buried in Linn County!), and their memorials haven't been updated yet, I take about half an hr. to an hour to read the death certs. and learn the dates and places of birth and death, along with their parents, spouses, etc., so they can be linked, especially if they are a Pioneer family, a youngster, etc. I feel it's the least I can do to kind of help out, as long as the person who has the memorial doesn't mind. I didn't realize that you had the Vierecks memorials until after I double checked; I had just seen Dave Bollman's name and gone ahead & done what I do, as I also like doing it. I've done it for other people and haven't had any complaints (yet). I enjoy doing research, especially when the clues are right there or I know different places to look. So I hope you don't mind that I did all of that and sent you that email (sorry I called you David at first, and hope you got the 2nd email). It's just my way of helping out as others have helped me in the past 3 yrs., 9 months and 30 days.
With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, OR
