I started researching my ancestry in the summer of 2011 and am hooked. Through ancestry.com I found the findagrave site. How wonderful that everyone has gathered this information across the country. I found many of my relatives because of the kindness of strangers. The memorials I manage are generally my direct relatives, but I do pick up others when it is clear I may be the closest relative. Just let me know if you wish me to transfer the memorial to you. I'd love to share family information about the Dold, Michl, Foltz, Kiker, Logan etc. families. I can be found on ancestry.com as well.|

I'm still trying to find out the link. I was digging around in the Bristor Cove Cemetery in Boaz Alabama. I came across 2 boys, Ben & George Kiker. Almost anybody named McCleskey in that cemetery is related to me, and that's how I ran across your family name. I have run across it before but didn't click on it and make the connection. I was trying to link these 2 boys with their parents. Turned in a link, but so far it hasn't been made. their parents are George Washington Kiker 25376943 and Elizabeth H. Kiker 5105165. A whole bunch of my relatives moved to Texas in the mid 1880s, mostly to Erath Co. I have bunches of photos of the McCleskeys, as well as a book my grandmother wrote in detail. Let me know what the link is to you. It goes farther back than I've figured out today.

Betty I have run across that Hunt inactive before. Click on the "help with findagrave" and click help with memorials or something like that and tell them you are her SISTER and you want it released to you. They will do it. I've done it lots of times, for people that are relatives. they will be happy to transfer it, but it may take a while.

I guess I don't get it, but why is Betty Kay not linked in with her parents ? The number you have posted on Mary's site as Betty Kay's Find A Grave # is 35182214, and that's somebody else, also a family member of yours. Just curious why she's not linked in. But otherwise, it looks GREAT ! I can tell you've done a lot of work on it !

Thanks Sherry, I have added your mom to my virtual Abilene High School Cemetery. -- Teresa
Thanks ! that's a shame that any of them were lost. Appreciate it.

So glad to see that you have added wonderful photos of the Michls. I didn't see one for Mary though. She was a friend of my husbands, and would love to see a photo of her. They went to college together and he thought a whole lot of her. I did get to meet her parents, but it was years after she died. I'm the one that originally created their memorials.
