RE: Re John Harold GOben
I have never had any connection to the family at all. I merely took their names from a cemetery book. I have all the washington county cemetery books and a lot I have not had time to put on findagrave but he is not listed in any of them. I had never made any attempt to research him until you sent the message. Found when and where he had died from ancestry. But remembered you said you lived in Louisville. The main library on York street has many many newspapers (try the Courier Journal) on microfilm and you can look through them really fast to locate the obits. Start looking around the time he died and hope you find him. At lease it may give more info than a death certificate will but you can have both. My dad is in there and he died 3 years before your uncle. A lot of obits give place of burial. Good luck to you.

RE: john h. goben
Myrtle married 1st Cletus Humphrey and after his death remarried to John H Goben. She did not die until 1941 but in the 1940 census he is living with his parents although listed as married.
He died Dec 2, 1967 in Louisville, Ky but I could not locate where he is buried. You might have to get a death certificate from Ky records which usually list burial places. Sorry, that is all I know.

Sarah Jane Wigginton
I would love to see the photo of the 4 generations of Sarah Wigginton.

My closest relationship to her is via her father, my great-great grandfather, William Paddock Barnett who married twice. His 2nd wife, Jane Amande Day, and William had an additional 7 children (10 in all for William).

Any photos or documents about this family would be terrific. The Paddock family stretches all the way back to the Mayflower or close to it.

RE: George Wheeler
I will send you what I have on George Wheeler in a PDF file. Please contact me at Yes there is a Wheeler Cemetery out on Budd Road. I asked someone to go out an take a photo, but they haven't gotten back to me. I have the GPS coordinates for the Wheeler Cemetery if that would help you. Every year I think I will get back there and go to visit the cemetery and every year something else comes up. Maybe next year if airfares get a little better.
