 | HAMM (Jacob & his line) Hi Chuck... I know that many researchers have errors in my Jacob Hamm line and I see some of them here. If you or anyone would like to compare and if there are any pics available of this line, please email me. I live at Sussex Corner, New Brunswick in Canada. (hammtree@nb.sympatico.ca). My ancestor is ANDREW(German:Andreas)HAMM, s/o Jacob Hamm who was born in Germany(but where?)in 1729, came on Speedwell in 1749 to America, lived in PA,then on to NC. There were other Jacob Hamms, and the wives' names tend to get mixed up with those of the children's. I hope to hear from anyone descended from this JACOB HAMM/ JOHANN JACOB HAMM, born 1729. I am so into this research since 1960. Waiting......

 | RE: Johan Daniel Hamm and Anna Maria Sechler Hamm I have no records at Jacob's concerning birth year and death year for Anna; but one of our members has a record of her birth as 1732 listed in the "Draft Lists of Descendants of Johann Daniel Hamm, children Andreas, Barbara, Fronica and Family Group Sheets for Descendants of Samuel Hamm". Do you know what year Johann and Anna got married? Where their marriage took place? Philly or Jacksonville area? There is also a possibility they had a child named "John", according to what I have.Added by Faye on Jun 14, 2012 6:19 AM | | | Faye
 | Johan Daniel Hamm and Anna Maria Sechler Hamm They are both buried at Jacob's Church, Jacksonville, PA in an unmarked grave; I have that Johan Daniel Hamm was born in 1728 in Switzerland; arrived in Philly in 1748 at the age of 20 years; I have his death in 1790 but I think that is wrong, because he sold an acre of land to Jacob's Church in 1807 according to my records; Does anyone know his parents?
Anna Maria Sechler was born in 1732 no date of her death Children: Daniel Hamm born 1760; Richard Hamm born 1762; Nicholas Hamm born 1759; Elizabeth Hamm born 1758 died 1830 married John Fischer; Barbara Hamm born 1764 died 1837 married Jacob Koenig born 1765 died 1829 buried at Jacob's; Fronica Hamm born 1774 died 1865 married John Lutz born 1773 died 1819; Andreas Hamm born 1761 died 1804 married (1)Catharine, married (2) Anna Maria Lintz born 21 May 1771 died 1 Mar 1840 buried at Jacob's Church; Andreas,Daniel, Nicholas and Richard all served in the Revolutionary WarAdded by Faye on Jun 13, 2012 5:58 PM | | | Joseph
 | Hamm info quick hint Chuck, Could you also check this cemetery in Berks County. It is just west of the Jacksonville cemetery in Berks County. This also has some of the older farmers of that area buried there. There may also be some Hamm buried there aswell. "New Bethel Corner Church Cemetery" It is another cemetery that needs checking out.
Don't be confused with the other New Bethel Cemetery in Berks.
The "New Bethel Corner Church cemetery" is olderAdded by Joseph on Apr 26, 2012 1:10 PM | | | Joseph
 | RE: Hamm Chuck, Would you check that cemetery book for Eckroth's /Ickerott/Eckerott/ ect.. ? I was there 2007 but did not spend much time in the old section. | Hamm Hi Chuck, From what I understand is that John Daniel Hamm and his wife Anna Maria (Sechler/Siegler) Hamm are buried at Jacob's Union Church cemetery in Jacksonville, PA. They are both buried in a unmarked grave. A family member from my side of the family purchased some land from them in what use to be Leaser Lake...before it was the Lake. I may have some extra information on the Hamm family but I would have to look into it. What source or bio where you looking at that had the Hamm information I posted?. I think Anna Maria Sechler's mothers maiden name was a Mauer. Thanks, JosephAdded by Joseph on Apr 25, 2012 9:22 PM | | |
