I started on genealogy in the late 70's and have been hooked ever since. I've taken breaks now & then, but always come back to it. This is a new chapter.
Whenever a cemetery transcript states this, PLEASE don't automatically assume it is a fact.

What if sod had grown over the headstone BEFORE the transcript was done?

What if the headstone was misread or missed DURING the making of the transcription?

What if a headstone has been installed or unearthed AFTER the transcript was done?

This headstone was intact in early 1980's.
Vandals hit the cemetery.
It lay on the ground & slowly
disappeared under 2-3" of sod.
No Headstone/Unmarked Grave???

Social Security Death Index [SSDI]:
What it does NOT mean.

The Social Security Death Index or SSDI provides information based on a person's social security account. It does NOT provide "place of death", contrary to what some websites indicate. Instead, it provides the person's "last known residence", which is often NOT where the person lived last, let alone where they died. So please do not provide or use a "place of death" based on the "last known residence" reported by the SSDI. Death location can be obtained from a death certificate, an obituary, etc..

Re: fairview to New hope
Hi Sheila,
Thank you for moving your memorials to New Hope. Another thank you for the numbers you moved. By all means move all your New Hope's to the newly created New Hope. I've been going thru mine, still got hundreds left.
Thanks again

RE: I miss Jo
Oh my friend, You are so awesome! Love that saying. I have been getting nasty emails from people for the last several months that I basically gave up on entering in anything. I realized that they were no dummies because it was not written on my board for all to see. I am sure sorry that as you put it that rotten apples have been nasty to you as well. I hope n pray that you have an awesome day. You were just what this old lady needed. Blessings JO

Take a look, I think that I got the information correct. The photo would have to be deleted by the Douglass. I originally got the notice from Portland Swiss.

Just that it included an additional line to be added at the end of the paragraph.

Jackson County, Missouri marriage certificate #1893I0001434.

Hi Sheila,
Am very grateful for all the work you are doing to clear up the mess I created. I should have done more research before asking for a link.
Thank you, Bonnie
