Bio and Links
Bio Photo When I was a little girl, my Great Grandmother would take me walking through the Mardela Cemetary along the Barren Creek every evening after supper. She told me stories about this person, or that person that was buried there. I have long since found cemetaries facinating, and stop and walk through, even though I may not have a relative there. I have always fussed about technology, but these kind of sites are a blessing to many! I am also a very active photographer, and very into geneology. We are new to this area, so what better way to get to know the people, sights, and the area! Have a great day!

Enoch Cemeteries List II
Fairfield county genealogy has this detailed page on-line which also doesn't list it but has the caveat of cemeteries often having several different names...hmmm?

RE: Enoch Grubbs
Hi Laurie - I forget if I replied earlier to this message and apologize if not so.

How do we know it is Chapman Cemetery Enoch rests eternally in?

I don't see it at the following link: http://southcarolina.hometownlocator.com/features/cultural,class,cemetery,scfips,45039.cfm

Perhaps it isn't an all inclsive one though?

I wish I had more to offer so we could check this ancestor's final resting place off as located. We probably need a local contact with historical data access.

RE: Elizabeth Watson
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I am so sorry about the confusion of the dates.
On the 1850 Census, her age was listed as 46. But on the 1870 census her age was listed as 60. I should have modified the dates.
We live in Minnesota so I had little hope of visiting her grave or getting a picture. It has been many, many years since I have seen that cemetery. It is so nice to know it is being taken care of.
Thank you again for your time and patience.
Sincerely,
Ruth

RE: Enoch Grubbs
Hi Laurie,

Thanks for the message. I have very little on the Grubbs side since it is so much more distant a branch than the ones I have been plugging away at - sorry! Happy to hear about an info you have on this branch.

Eric

Baileys in Mardela
Hi Laurie,
I transferred four of the Bailey memorials to you so you can change dates and add other information about Hollis and his family.
