RE: Bollman graves
Hi,
Apologies for the slow response; I was out of town. Just sent the two lots of photos to your email, & hope they will be of help.

RE: Bollman graves
Hi,
As you can see from the photos, the stones are almost too worn to confidently read. It is a big plot. I didn't see the Thomas you're looking for, but that does not mean he isn't there. There appear to be a handful of Millers, as well as additional children (see base of stone with Ann K's & Louisa C's names). I can send the photos themselves if they'd be helpful. If so, let me know your email.

Wendel Bollman again
Check out Smithsonian Institution paper on Bollman:
http://www.basiccarpentrytechniques.com/Technology%204/The%20Engineering%20Contributions%20of%20Wendel%20Bollman/The%20Engineering%20Contributions%20of%20Wendel%20Bollman.html

It appears to be taken from a book available on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Engineering-Contributions-Wendel-Bollman/dp/1505466660

The American Society of Civil Engineers:
http://www.asce.org/project/bollman-truss-bridge/

These sites and more all use the name Wendel Bollman. Again, I'll do as you wish but would like anyone searching for Mr. Bollman to be able to find him. I've turned up no reference to him in search engines under the name William Bollman. See what you think of what I put into his biography regarding his name.

RE: Wendel Bollman
Nick, you should have received a brief explanation of the reason I questioned the name change, one that also asked for your opinion. Find A Grave usually wants the name as it appears on the grave, unless it is in error, since this is basically a grave registry site. I don't know how it is written on Bollman's grave. Do you? Also, in Wikipedia he is listed as Wendel Bollman, and so I wonder whether this is the name he used professionally. If someone were looking for his grave, would they think to search under William? I'm not opposed to making the change, and, since your are related, it should be your call. But I do want to ensure that someone looking for him specifically could find him. So let me know what you think. I could also add the William to the biography with the explanation that it was his birth name.

RE: James Clark cemetery stone
Hi Nick,
You are very welcome. Glad to assist. I uploaded other Clark family member photos to their Find A Grave memorial sites if you hadn't noticed. Continued luck with your research. Pat
