|David Oxford||Transfer of Von Kannon Memorials|
I've received no response from James (whom I suspect is grandson..., and possibly your father) regarding my posted memorials of James W. and Cora B. Von Kannon.
I would like them to be with family. If you are willing, may I transfer to you?
... for posting gravesite photos for the Gronewold children. For some reason little Hugh's didn't get posted. Could you do that please?
Again, thanks... Nan

I sure appreciate you going to all that effort to look for the stones. If/when you get verification that Mary and Samuel Russell are buried in Old Macomb, please let me know so I can attempt to get their burial location changed. As for the other memorials you couldn't find stones for, can you tell me the names or memorial numbers so I can delete the photo requests for them? It wouldn't be right to leave the requests active and have someone else spend time trying to locate them if they are gone. It's really sad, to have your marker lost for all time.
I concur... welcome to Findagrave!
Thank you so much for the gravesite photos of the Gronewold family members. Since I have verification that the five other infants are with the others, I will create memorials for them and post photo requests as well.
Your efforts and contributions are greatly appreciated.

First I want to say welcome to findagrave! You're going to love this website. It's a fantastic way to honor our ancestors and keep their memories alive. People like you who volunteer to go out to the cemeteries and look for the graves really make all the difference, you make this site successful. Thank you so much for volunteering!
I'm really sorry you're having trouble with the burial locations for Samuel and Mary Russell. I am not the member who made these memorials nor do I maintain them. Samuel and Mary are my 4th g-grandparents and I have no info on where they are buried. I was excited when I found their memorials on this site and I submitted the photo requests. Unfortunately, the member who has control of these memorials seems to be inactive right now. I've sent her many messages by way of the "edit" tabs on these memorials as well as other memorials she has control of, and also by direct email. I've received no responses from her. If you look at her "bio" page you will see other members have also sent messages asking if she is still active. I've also gone so far as to contact findagrave administration to ask for these memorials to be transferred to me so I can make additions, corrections and family links. Well, so far I've heard nothing back from them either. GRRR!!!! So.....even if you do find out the correct burial locations for Samuel and Mary I can't go into their memorials and change it. You can still post the photos though. If you do get proof of the burial locations I'll try contacting administration again and hope for the best. It's a real hit and miss with them. They are swamped with emails and only answer a handful.
Thank you again for your hard work and I really appreciate it!

Thank you for taking the time to do this for me and other family members. Take your time, I am in no rush. I too hope you find them out there. I know that we have alot of Cox family buried there. ~~ Christi

Welcome to Findagrave!
Your photos add much to the Von Kannon memorials and are truly appreciated. I haven't visited these memorials since their original posting. Are the folks within your family sphere? I also noted that another FAGer has linked a son of these two, and that he may also be related.
