Bio and Links
Bio Photo Im married with two children, and 4 step sons. I got started on this from my sister who was looking up the Downs side of our family, and I kinda wanted to look up my husbands side also, the Vollbracht side. Its kinda interesting what little I have done so far.
Please leave public message or email me , for any added information or if I have entered something incorrect or need to add anything else. Thank you!

I have the Sunset Cemetery Illinois Veterans Home (1887-2000) book that I put names from, on the Find A Grave web site. I don't have any information after 2000. The following is the phone number and address you can reach them at if you have any questions about the headstones or anything else.

Sunset Cemetery (Illinois Veterans Home)
1707 N. 12th Street
Quincy
Adams County
Illinois USA
Postal Code: 62301
Phone: 217-222-8641 x222
Mike Hutmacher
FAX: 217-222-9621

I also have Quincy Memorial Park Cemetery and Early Quincy Cemetery

I also have St. Boniface Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois-The reason for the lack of information on some burials in St. Boniface Cemetery today is possibly due to the fact that in the early days of the cemetery, family memebers of the deceased took charge of the burial arrangements and possibly this information was never passed on to the cemetery association in charge at that time.

NOTE:When I have entered all the names I can from these books, I give them back to who they belonged to, so I have no access to look up any additional information, I only put on Find A Grave what is wrote in these books.

RE: Lula Haley
Thank you for taking the time to create & maintain her memorial.

I assumed the T stood for Tribble but it doesn't matter. I have not found any record indicating a middle name. [I have a number of relatives, etc. who never had a middle name including my father in-law].

FYI, information you might be interested in & I am not asking you to change anything. The following is info I've consistently found in records. 1] records list her name as LULA & to me the gravestone appears to read LULA also. 2] I have found some indications that Lula is a nickname but birth name was Lucille however, I have not found any official records to confirm this.

Thank you again for your generous donation of time. Kristine

ps I found a copy of obituary for Arthur "Dutch" Haley if anyone wants a copy.

St. Boniface Cemetery mystery grave
Hi Cindy,
Back in April I took some random photos at St. Boniface of graves that frankly were in a bad state and I feared would disappear. I had been searching for my own ancestors' graves when I took these photos. I see you have a list of the cemetery and I am hoping you can help if you don't mind. There is one grave that I can't figure out and I am hoping you know who it may belong to so I can post the picture.
The only transcription I can make out is:
Gestorben
den 20 Sep. 1854

Thanks for creating the memorials for this cemetery (and others). Finding one of your memorials helped me figure out one mystery of a baby "Agnes" with a name ending in "...haus" which I found after searching. My own ancestor's marker has been kicked over since the last photo was taken and it appears so many are getting damaged. You are helping make sure the history is preserved.

Transfers
Thank you so much for the transfers! You are great at getting the information in. I have the books for St Boniface, Calvary and St.Peters, but I just do not have time (nor patience) to sit and enter all the info!

Cindy
I want to thank you so very much for starting off my 2014 with a dream come true! I have been hunting for my Uncle Walter and Aunt Marie for almost 8 years. Walter is the last one in my dad's siblings (11) that I could not find anything on. If you ever have time, could you get me a picture of their headstones? and maybe give me some guidance as to where to find their obituaries? You will never know how much this contact means to me. I live in Lincoln, Illinois and now hopefully in the early spring I can make a trip to Quincy and find more info
Thanks again

Cindy thank you for transferring Bob's father over to me, I appreciate it so very much. Now I can connect him to Bob to Bob and to his wife Margaret.
What you and your sister do by taking the pictures and starting memorial pages for others is so wonderful and I am sure very rewarding.

Bless you both!

Have a Very Merry Christmas
