I am currently adding genealogy to these memorials in an endeavor to help others who are ancestor hunting.|
It's exciting to research how everyone in a cemetery is related to each other.
If you have any information on any of these memorials, please let me know. I will gladly add biographies, obituaries, link families, etc.
The more information on a memorial, the better. Our ancestors should be memorialized by more than just a birth year and death year. This is a great site to tell their stories.

Many thanks for all your kind notes via e-mail and public messages. It is rewarding to know that my work has helped you.
Thank You - Kim, Teresa, Diane, Cindy and Peggy for all your work in the Chenango County, New York Cemeteries.

|Rhonda Little||Neff family|
Dear Robi, I am a great granddaughter of Leamon and Rebecca Neff. Their youngest child, Leah Belle Neff Lackey (1895-1968) was my grandmother. My grandmother was married to William Benson Lackey Jr. (1892-1940) and their only child, Roger Lee Lackey (1922-1969) was my father. I had one sister, Leah Jo Lackey Baker (1951-2004). I googled my grandmother and was amazed to see the info about my great grandparents. Thank you! Rhonda Lackey Little
|Suzanne Somodi Jimenez||Transfers|
I would like to say a BIG thank you to Robi who has and continues to kindlly put up with ALL (and there have been several) my requests for transfers and then, generously and very quickly, put them in my care. I am truly greatful and appreciative.

WOW!! Thank you so very much!
Thanks Robi. My hope is that we can find as many obits and as much info as we can about the people who are buried in Union. I am adding it all to the cemetery history books as well.
|Suzanne Somodi Jimenez||Grant B. Lowe transfer|
Very, very greatful. THANK YOU!!!
|Suzanne Somodi Jimenez||Margaret Lowe transfer|
I am so very greatful to you for the transfer of Margaret's memorial to my care. I hope you will also consider transferring her husband, Grant B. Lowe # 100796112 to me, as well. Thank you, thank you.

|Deb Seivers||Thanks so much to you and all of the other volunteers!|
I am so thrilled to find SO much history on my great grandmother's ancestry! It must haven taken months to collect all of the information that you have all documented on her entire family!
I am asking for your assistance in locating the documentation of the early years of my great grandfather, Ethan Allen Shelley. He first appears on the US Census of 1850, in McDonough, Chenango County, New York, living with a man named Israel Nicholson and his family.
I have been able to trace his history forward to his death in Sherman, Michigan, but have had no luck in finding any documentation previous to the 1850 Census. He lists "parents unknown" on all of his paperwork, and even his death certificate lists no parents for him.
He was born on April 13, 1838 in either Chenango or Steuben County, New York and died in Sherman, Mason County, Michigan on July 3, 1889.
I would love to give my great grandfather some parents...if you can help me locate them, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for everything!

Thank you fro doing the edits in such a timely manner and the offer for transfer, most of them are distant relatives of my husband's and, for the time being, they are fine where they are in your capable hands.
