RE: James Sheehy
You bet. I GPS mark every headstone so should be easy to find if you use Find A Grave app on your phone. Holler if you need anything. I can try and look up any obits at library etc. if you want.

Joseph -

That is strange my record shows he died in Aspen but you are right Colorado General is in Denver, Colorado. I would leave the record as is and thank you for bringing it to my attention. Valerie

Hi Joe,

Could you contact me via my e-mail. I have a question that I don't want to post on the public board.

Thanks, Clete

Hi Joe,

I was looking for Francis Christopher Sheehy from my mom's book. She had him listed; b: 24 Jun 1890 Hume, MO. d: 2 May 1962. m: Edna Ohlmeier, then Lou Wallace. That is all she had, I noticed the birth date doesn't match up, but that wouldn't be too unusual. He is listed in the proper family. Do You know anything else about him?

Thanks Joe, you do a really good job.
Regards, Clete

Hi Joe,

I have been on findagrave for just a few months and have been working on the Garde family tree off & on. You probably already know that Virginia Garde (my mother)did a couple books on the Gardes including all the Sheehys she could find. My sister Joan is working on an update but told me a month ago that she hasn't be able to get anything about the Sheehys. I found all the info that you've entered velly interesting and was wondering if you would be willing & had time to get in contact with her about your families. I got a lot of info about the deceased but don't have anything on the living.

I've got a spreadsheet with names & some dates of all the descendants of Ben & Johanna.

Thanks again,
Clete Garde

Mary Anna Garde Sheehy
Glad you could connect her to her parents (Benjamin and Johanna). If you need further info on the Garde family, let me know and I'll send you what I currently have.

Don't quote me on this next info but I believe that the Garde farm in Madison Co IL is still in the family. I think Benjamin and Johanna's gr-grandson Lloyd Garde may be the present owner. I'd have to check with those that still live in the area if I don't see Lloyd himself. The president of St Mary's Catholic Cemetery is a Garde descendant. His name is Francis Wieseman. His mother was a Garde. Francis should know and if not he'll know who does.

RE: Thomas Sheehy - Park Cemetery
It makes sense about the name. Also, many times years ago, people had a tendency to change their names to a different variation. Before I contacted you I looked up the dc and also did my homework at the cemetery on the name. I'll go next week and check the stones out. The rain is pouring right now, so it will be Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned.

Joseph Grover Sheehy
Thank you for sponsoring the memorial for Joseph Grover Sheehy. In his bio area there is a dc#. This refers to death certificate. You can view (for free) an original scan of his death certificate at the Missouri Secretary of State's website. The MO SOS has death records available online that cover years 1910-1960. Thank you again and good luck in your research!
