RE: Henry Clay Smith Obit
Hi. Sure.
How's the research going? I have from your records that Frederick Smith b. 1846 died in Nebraska and was a cattle man.
How did you obtain this info?
He is found in the 1870 and 1880 census with his parents in McKeesport and the 1880 states he was working in an iron pipe mill there. According to Cynthia McLane Neish he is buried in the same plot with Henry Clay Smith and Ellin Morris Smith. His original stone was removed "long ago when it was close to falling down". I'm not sure the Nebraska info is correct unless there are records I don't know of. Thanks.

Rick Heaton
Bartholemew Heaton
Hello Jarrod, I have requested someone else to link Chester E Heaton SR, with Barth & Minnie. This is their child. I have a favor, on Chesters obituary it lists a child, Chester JR as Proceeded in death. Do you have his obituary? Its online but they want paid to see it. Also, do you know anything about Samuel SR & Samuel JR, this would be Barths Child and Grandchild? I found lots of people related to Larry Heaton and Samuel JR but i want to make sure this is the correct Samuel before proceeding.
Thanks, Rick

McFarlands in Rural Valley Cemetery
No problem, Jarrod. I just added the approx. marriage dates to Martha's husbands and she is now sorting correctly on John's memorial.

You found Mason too! I got curious about other McFarlands and saw him on findagrave yesterday. I also have access to thru the local library and dug up some obits for him and his family. Let me know if you don't have them and I will email them to you. BTW the other two McFarlands listed in Greenwood Cemetery, Edna and Kenneth, are Mason and Kate's children. According to her obit, Kenneth's wife is buried there too but so far there is no findagrave memorial for her.

McFarlands in Rural Valley Cemetery
I transferred John, his son Kos and Kos's wife Drusie to you. There might be more McFarlands in RV cemetery and if I bump into them I will take pictures and let you know, so you can figure out who they are and how they relate to you.

Am holding onto John's 3rd wife Martha and her kids since Martha is my gg aunt, and her daughter Lucinda married a relative of mine on another side of my family.

As I said in my last message, John's stone is obscured by a vine right now so it's hard to read the inscription. When the vine dies down I'll take a picture of it. Years ago there used to be a little stone marked "Nancy" next to John's stone ... in later years leaning against it ... which could be John's first wife's memorial. Hopefully that little stone is still nearby.

John McFarland in Rural Valley Cemetery
Hi Jarrod,

Thanks so much for the links to John's parents. Would you like me to transfer John's memorial to you?

I was in RV cemetery a few weeks ago taking pictures. John's stone was half covered with a vine so I put of photographing his stone. Hopefully the vine will die down in the fall and I can take a picture then.

Do you want the memorials for Bertha & Robert as well? Are you related to them as well?
