I am a retired career U. S. Navy Photographers Mate. Having spent 25 years in the Service I left the Navy as a Senior Chief Photographers Mate and joined civilian life in 1992. I continued my photographic profession with DayStar Photography until 2010 and fully retired early in 2012. |
Now I find that I have ample time and ambition to research, locate and photograph for Find-A-Grave. I enjoy the work, and I truly hope it gives comfort to all who request this service.
My wife and I live near Nashville, TN. I am quite willing to travel a reasonable distance to fulfill requests. Nashville is a great area with easy access to even remote areas.

Thank you for taking the time to look for Thomas Bandy's grave. I'm sorry it wasn't where the web site said it should be... hopefully it wasn't too much trouble for you.
Thank you again

Bob, I just check my email, and don't see one from you? What address did you send it to? It's very possible I lost it, as I hadn't checked in several weeks....can you resend?

Sorry, Bob, I just got back from Florida. My Dad had a stroke, and I haven't had time to address my emails. Sometime this week!

Hi, Bob. Hate to hear about the leg, and had wondered where you'd gotten to! Last time we talked, didn't you tell me that Connie McPeak had given you some cemetery directions in the Statesville area? Had meant to drop you a note saying that she'd died very soon after that.
Re Bandy, I haven't been in 30 years, but Nancy Graves can give you GPS coordinates and tell you who to talk with to get in. The Bandys are her husband's family, and she visited it last summer. You need better directions than "curve to the left, curve to the right, then right-left-right turns and somewhere between the boat docks," and you probably need to have someone unlock the gate at this time of year. Send her a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
While you're there, see if you can get the scoop on the other two cemeteries. I ran into a Scout last fall who told me that only one other cemetery was still visible, as far as he knew. Good luck, and let me know how you make out with it! --HBJ
Thanks Bob for the picture

Thanks Bob. I emailed those two churches once and never got a reply. I'll keep trying. Thanks again.
