Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my husband's and my geneology for about 4 years, off and on. I am still learning, but I love doing this. I am researching Johnson, Morley, Schultz, and McClish families in Manistee County, MI; Crandall family of Escanaba, MI; Pearson, Johnson, Crandall, and Plouff families of Iron County, MI; Beatty family of Coalmont, IN; Shields family of Columbus, OH; Merryman family of Ocean City, NJ, and Snyder family of Bucks county, PA, to name a few.

Since I am a stay at home mom, I don't always have a lot of spare time. I will try to help out when I can, so feel free to ask me questions related to Manistee County, Michigan. I don't mind at all if you want to use the photos of headstones I have taken. If you want a larger file size, I will be glad to email it to you. If you have any additional information on any of the profiles I have added, please share it with me. I will also be glad to transfer management to you if you are in any way related, as long as I am not related to that person.

RE: Rachael Ruper Burger
Jen, It was one of the original brothers who left Columbiana County Ohio for land further west in Ohio. She is likley a daughter of one of them and do hope your research can connect her with the Ruperts from Columbiana then everyone will be related! Thanks Anne w/o Rupert

RE: Rebecca Burger Headstone Picture
Of course you may use the photo of the headstone on your family tree. And yes I am distantly related to Rebecca Burger. My great great grandmother was Frances Burger Domer wife of Seth Domer. Of Holmes County Ohio. Will send a bit more on that later when I can sign into my family tree. John Shafer

RE: Family Links
Jennifer, I would be more than glad to make those links and changes for you but would ask that you please use the "edit" button on the memorial and type in your request. That way there is no chance of me making a mistake to the memorials. It is very easy to make mistakes when working with these memorials and I am one who does not like making those mistakes. Thank you....Shirley

Bateman, Ursula, b. 1870 d. 13 Sep 1846, age: 45, wife of Richard Bateman, Row 16b, Grave 18
Bateman, John L, b. 1841 d. 17 Oct 1845, age: 4.0.13, Our brother, son of Richard & Ursula Bateman, Row 16b, Grave 19

Bateman, Sarah, b. 1799 d. 22 Dec 1894, age: 74.2.20, Row 16b, Grave 15
Bateman, Joseph S, b. 1859 d. 16 May 1865, age: 6.11.15, son of Richard & Sarah Bateman, Row 16b, Grave 17

Hi Jen,

I do not have records other than the markers, sorry.

According to the markers, though, I see Richard and Ursula had son, John in 1841 and died at age 4 in 1845.
Wife Ursula died the next year at age 45. I don't know of any other children of Richard & Ursula.

It appears that Richard then maarried Sarah and had son Joseph S, who was born 5 years after Ursula died.
Sadly, Joseph also died young at age 6. I don't know of any other children of Richard and Sarah.

Richard and ursula each lived into their 70's.

Hope this helps.
