Dr. John Hamilton
Dr. John Hamilton was my Great Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather (Charles Frederick Arbuthnot Locke I) married his daughter, Margaret Glen Rae Hamilton. I also have connections on my Grandmothers side (Scarth) to the Hamiltons via Jesse Hamilton who was her Aunt by marriage to William Bain Scarth, brother to her father, James Lendrum Scarth.

I have bben in touch with you in the past. I am a descendant of Godfrey Phipps BAKER and first wife Elizabeth Julia CLEMENTS.
I have photos of T.H.A. BEGUE and William Bain SCARTH which no doubt would interest you.

One page I viewed awhile ago had the name of BEGUE wrong. Cant remember what it was but the initials stand for Theophilus Henry Alexis.
The other photo is only identified as W. B. SCARTH but I'm quite sure it is him.
I see that you now live in the Vancouver area. I am just down here in Ferndale WA just south of the border.

RE: Colin Macaulay Hamilton
Hello Mark,

Yes I do have a connection to this man, or more accurately to his wife, Gladys Millicent Ruttan, who was a distant relative of mine.

There is a map of the sections of Cataraqui Cemetery on their website at if you follow the link at the top marked "Maps". He and his wife are in section M, specifically the western section, to the west of Tamarac Ave.
