I am retired with a background in sales and marketing. I am mostly just working on entering monuments for family and friends. I am working on seven family trees at this time. |
I am willing to take photos in the Tucson, AZ area. Pictures are my main interest. I do quite a bit of scrapbooking also. Please feel free to use any of my photos, no recognition required. I truly believe that having a history of the ones who went before us is the best way to keep them alive in our minds.

I'm sorry this happened to you Buff. Duplicates happen, and I created a couple when I first started and got barked at by the same person that barked at you. I also did not understand and requested that person to teach me rather than to bark and report me. I'm sure this site was meant to be about sharing, informing, and celebrating our loved ones... not to fight and stake claims. So keep your chin up, there are many, MANY, good people on here that you will enjoy talking to and collaborating with. I took down the cemetery photo to save memory because I do post large photos. I allow people to take my photos and darken, cut, do whatever they need to get the info from the stone. So go back and take your photo off, I restored the original for you.
In this case, the person you tried to contact, I'm sure I tried to contact, she does not answer, and does not respond to edits. It is prob a case of a forgotten passcode. If she didn't respond to me in over a month, I prob did create a new one. Back then, I didn't know how to use the links, and there wasn't a link for relationships, so I sent edit requests. The information I provided is valuable to the families, and I did a lot of research through the historical society to get it there. I will write to the powers-that-be at Find A Grave and ask them to merge the memorials so the information does not get lost. Whatever they figure out to be the best option, I will be glad to transfer to you if you'd like.
Please don't be discouraged... the photographers are very important and not as many in areas that there is claim to be. My family is in obscure areas and I have been lucky in getting photographers that can get me info when I have no paperwork for my family. The photographers are invaluable to me, I'm sure others feel the same way. If the cemetery photos are important to you, I will get you a picture of the front gate. I did submit one and it got refused. The back gate is what is there now, and it was painted darker and looks different than that photo. That was also refused. So let me know, I will be glad to get entry gate photos for you. Chin up kiddo.
Feel free to take advantage of my efforts to get that photo by keeping my name under the photo as well as the fact you found it on Find A Grave. Hopefully it will encourage others to Volunteer on Find A Grave. Knowing some folks follow the suggested rules, as you have just done.
Thank you very much for the nice comments. Thank your son for the comment on my military service.

I don't know what photo you are refering to because people are not listed according to their memorial number in my list of memorials. But if the photo has my name listed under it, by all means, put it on your ancestry page. Photos are meant to be shared. Ancestors should be remembered.
