Going on vacation shortly, but when I get back, I'll see if I can find out who actualy owns the surrounding property. I believe it can be accessed through one gentleman's property, but is actually within the boundaries of the Yaggers Conservation Club. Perhaps the Township Trustee knows, or can lead me to womeone who does! I'll keep on it. Thanks!
Hi again, Kathy,
Thank you for looking into the cleaning of the cemetery. Have you had prior experience with abandoned cemeteries? Or could the County Attorney (or another legal entity) tell us whether this cemetery is actually OWNED by the owner of the surrounding property? I'm going to make a second attempt at getting permission to get in to do the work, but maybe more information would help my request.
Thanks so much!
I saw your 2/16/2013 post on "Whispers from the Grave" regarding the possibility of someone cleaning this cemetery. I believe the property surrounding Livingston Cemetery is owned by the Yaggers Conservation Club. I wrote to an officer on the board of the club asking if they might give permission for cleaning, but with no response. I believe that property owners have to give the public access to cemeteries, even abandoned ones. Have you spoken to anyone in Owen County? My great-grandmother is buried in Livingston, and I am very interested in having this cemetery cleaned and restored. I live in Colorado, but I'm willing do anything that is needed to help.
Thank you! From: firstname.lastname@example.org

Thank you very much for taking the photograph for me.
Would you please add the photograph to his wife's memorial.

Yes, please! Thank you! Ritter is David Buskirk's wife's maiden name with whom he is supposedly buried.

Thanks for trying. The information posted elsewhere on findagrave said they were buried together. Maybe that's what the plot marker meant. Appreciate your help.
