Janey what a beautiful note thanks kindly! You are so sweet to do such, much appreciated. I just watched it again with a friend and I end up with tears of joy and saddness both every time I see it, knowing all those gals went thru and survived but also lost. I loved going on the tour and knowing I'd lived in the very town as a kid and knew nothing. Reading the book is how I got into genealogy '97 and remembering many stories my granny has told when a young girl. I so enjoy researching that family so much and so thankful my 3x Ashby granny lived or I would not be here for sure! Blessings to you and yours, happy trails.

RE: Welcome Back.
Thank you so much! Yes staph sure does stink. I would not want to go through something like that again.

You're welcome but thank you for getting me back into the Washington Cemetery. I need to get things from that one that I've been putting off.

That's OK my fingers don't always do what my brain tells them to do either.

This old chick has no idea what ib is but the only address I can find isn't for the cemetery but the Sexton John Hurley lives at 460 Old 51 Carsonville, Michigan 48419 The old sexton kept the records at his home so I'm sure John Hurley does too!

I did add Mary L (Odle) the wife of Willard D Caughel and what I found on her children to Find a Grave in Washington Cemetery. Good Luck with the Family Search.

You're right...I've looked and I can't find her either. I have a few in my family like that. So upsetting!

Good morning Janey I will get to the cemetery probably tomorrow to get the pictures you want. In the meantime the Sandusky library website has a nice genealogy section at the link below:

when it comes up click on the word genealogy at the top. When that comes up you can write in the search box the name you are searching and click search. If you use a first and last name in the search box also click (close by) after the search box, then you should get only the ones you might be looking for. I know that there are the Caughel, Nichol and Willis names in Washington. If there are any that I have added that you want just let me know I'll turn them over to you. That should keep you busy....Happy hunting.
