Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello! Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan while living on the Old Westside of town. My family is primarily German and English.

After working in the corporate world for years, I now spend my time, designing fiber fashions.

I live for a few months a year in Dundee, Michigan and am very familiar with Monroe and Washtenaw County areas. We winter in Hill Country in Comfort TX and even though I don't know the cemetery's well, I'd be glad to help.

My husband, Kraig and I are very interested in our family genealogy and would like to help others in their history journey.

Daly information...

Hello! I am a descendant of George W. and Elva A. Harwick Daly of Dundee Michigan.

I cannot seem to find where they are buried. Nor where their children are buried. Would you be able to help?

Her is who I am looking for:
George W. Daly b. 1846 (NY) d. 1924 (MI)
Elva A. Harwick Daly b.1853 (MI) d. 1938 (MI)
Floyd C. Daly (married to Alta M. Shay)
Edith Daly (never married)
Alice Daly (spouse unknown or even if she had a spouse)

I sure hope you can help. It seems like with all the information I provided that I could find what I am looking for. But, I simply can't.

Thank you,

Daly information from Elmwood Cemetery, Detroit, Wayne, Michigan
Thank you so much for posting information about James H Daly and his wife Mary Conway Daly (Elmwood Cemetery, Detroit). My Daly family came from Kerry, Ireland, and while most of the family went to the Boston area, one brother, James H Daly and his wife Mary Conway Daly went to Canada and eventually ended up in Detroit. I was so excited to find their place of burial! Thank you for your efforts! They are much appreciated.

Storms Family
I took a photo of Floyd Storms in Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery and posted him to Find A Grave, Memorial# 91355833
His father is Frank R Storms, Find A Grave Memorial# 91356120 born in Michigan and listed in 1900, Harrisville township, Alcona, Michigan as a son of George and Evaline Storms, born New York,
Sibblings in 1900 are Edith, Kate, Treva, Bryan and Pansy G Storms, all born Michigan.
Floyd's mother is Maude M, Find A Grave Memorial# 91356191 born 1887 Missouri.
Franks family seems to match your George Abraham Storms.
If these Storms's in Spokane are part of your family, please let me know and I will be happy to transfer them to you.

Mary Daly

I noticed that you think Mary Daly and get husband, James, might be buried in Mt. Elliott. James's death certificate is available on and it notes he was buried in Elmwood.

Hope this helps!

RE: Rev H. L. Jones
Marian!!! Thank you so much for your interest in findagrave and your inquiry into Rev. Henry Lyman Jones. His parents, Joseph and Mary (Ferris) Jones lived on Gieger Rd. in a red brick farmhouse they bought in 1842, they are my gr gr grandparents. They sold and moved to the Spring Arbor area and eventually to Sherwood to participate in the Free Methodist Church. They had many children, some died quite young while living near Ida. While investigating this history about twenty years ago I discovered burials documented in the King or Sackett Cemetery, I have never visited this cemetery but found much documentation many years ago. I also accumulated documentation of other family burials in Monroe County and entered them to findagave during our heat wave and mosquito infestation last August. I did not document where the burial info came from but probably from the state library in Lansing.
If you can find anything to the contrary please share that with me so I can correct everything. I have much biographical info on this family and am trying to assemble all on findagrave, if there is anyway I can share this with you I would enjoy that. I live near Lansing and hope to visit Monroe County soon to update records. Please feel free to contact be at for more info!!!
