My husband and I farm and ranch North West of Wellington, Ks. The family histories that I am involved with on my husbands side are: Headley, Nelson, Crewse & Doramus. On my side: Ricke, Landwehr, Boor, Moeder. I am just starting this and have been able to full fill some requests on find a grave. Enjoy it so far and look forward to meeting more people. Thank you to all that have helped me so far.

RE: Rueben Headley gravesite
I'm not sure what you are asking for? Reuben already has a memorial created by Jennifer. She also had created memorials for Jacob and Margaret Headley but had them at the wrong cemetery. I did email her and she corrected and I added the photos. You could ask Jennifer to transfer the memorials to you if they are closely related. It is up to her whether she agrees to transfer them or not. Most people will if you are related. There is a lot to learn but just hang in there and you will get better. I'm still learning everyday too. Good luck! Barb

Joseph & Margaret Headley
I have added memorials and photos for the above at Metz Cemetery in Steuben County. They are not at Circle Hill in Steuben County.

RE: Rueben Headley gravesite
You'll learn real fast. I have been a member for almost a year and I've learned a lot not just from my own trials and errors but from other members. Anyways you are welcome for the photo. I really enjoy going out to the cemeteries and trying to find the tombstones. It's like a jigsaw puzzle and you find a piece of that puzzle. Did you get my message that I have photos of Jacob and Margaret Headley. I did find them at Metz Cemetery in Steuben County, Richland Township. They are not at Circle Hill, Steuben County, Pleasant Township. Are you going to create memorials for them at Metz or do you want me to do that? Barb

RE: Thank you so much.
Alice, I'm not sure. Wellington is where I hit a wall in my research. I know that Cornelia and John Smith had a little money, or at least I think they did. I have numerous photos of my grandfather at their house, which was a large brick beautiful home. I also have several old, old, old photos of street scenes in what I think is Wellington. Some day I guess I'll have to drive down there and see who can help me. (Obviously, today isn't the day, is it?) Lisa

Thank you so much.
Dear Ms. Headley:

Thank you so very much for taking a photo of my great grandmother' and great-great grandparents' place of rest. Such a shame that there is no marker on their graves.

I have a lot of research on this side of the family to complete; it's hard with the name Smith. Maybe I need to travel to Wellington and start asking questions.

Again, thank you for taking the time out of the goodness of your heart.
