Concerned about family history slipping away, I'm doing what I can to preserve it. My ancestral family names are Braun, Custer, Gebhard, Haenggi, and Heberlein. After a long search for my immigrant Gebhard great-grandparents, I found them through findagrave.com. Now having information on all family branches from their time of immigration, I am pleased to honor the deceased with a public memorial record which also provides genealogy assistance. An accurate and accessible record is my main goal. Managing family memorials and some extended family, I will readily make additions (dates, names, obituaries, etc.) and corrections as requested, or transfer to any family member who wants to manage the memorial of their own parents, siblings, children, etc., so don't hesitate to ask. Or, just e-mail a "hello."

Wellinger gravesite-St Joseph Cemetery
Hi Kathryn-I checked for a headstone for your Wellinger requests and positively identified the site. Unfortunately there is not a headstone but I am posting a picture of the site. Their gravesites is between the two visible stones.

RE: Raymond Chaplin Memorial
It turns out that his parents, Russell & Ida, and his sister, Fay Ault, just lived a few miles from our farm.

I have deleted my memorial to him. Thanks for letting me know about the duplication. I know that sometimes the names just don't show up in a search, therefore causing a duplicate.

Thank you for notifying me that this is a duplicate memorial. If you would, please send me the memorial number of the original, as I have searched, but cannot find it. That is the reason I created this one.

Once I receive it, I will gladly delete the duplicate.

Thank you for this consideration!

RE: William Wimmenauer
Kathryn, I went to the cemetery today and there is no date of death inscription on the headstone. I have made an inquiry to the cemetery to see if I can get any additional information. I will let you know when I hear back from them. Judie

RE: William H Wimmenauer request
I checked in the Genealogical Society of Marion County's database and although they don't have any date information, they do show a burial location so let me check it out and see if there is any additional info on the marker. I use the database a lot and this is the first time I've come across a record with no dates but I don't think they'd have a record if William was still alive. Hoping to get out to the cemetery on Sunday, weather permitting.
