|I began looking for my family a few years ago. They are mostly from Morgan and Campbell Co. Tn. and Southern Ill. I knew very little about my family--I wish I had listened to my mother's stories---so I really had no idea where to start looking. Then I remembered my grandmother was buried in Piney Cemetery somewhere in Eastern Tn. Once I was able to locate the cemetery, I was able to identify the county and from there I found several cousins who have so generously shared their research. My Tennessee family seems to be well identified. I am still working on my Southern Ill. roots.|

Cooper's View Cemetery
Lindsey Cooper is buried at Knoxville National Cemetery along with his brother, General Joseph Cooper. Both fought for the Union in Company A, First Tennessee Volunteers. I have the marker locations and photographs of both gravesites which are located close to the Civil War Memorial at the cemetery.

Thank you for the kind words! Yes, Coopers View is a pretty little place. It's one of my favorites.
I'm not sure about Lindsay's whereabouts. It's possible I missed the headstone, although I try to be as thorough as I can. I see that someone added the memorial for Lindsay after I had photographed the cemetery, so you might be right about his being moved. Have you contacted the person who added his memorial? She'll probably have more info than I do.
Thank you again!
