I retired in 2010 & got into taking photos of cemetery headstones just this year. It was overwhelming at first, but now I love it! If my kids can't find me at home, they'll call to see if I am "bothering the dead"! :) |
One thing I try to do when I am taking pictures of requested headstones is try to get as many family members that are buried nearby with the same last name. So when I post a pic, check to see if I have posted more with the same name.
I have 3 daughters, 3 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. I'm busier now than when I was working, but it's things I love to do. I love genealogy, taking photos, paint-by-numbers, scrapbooking & volunteering for my church.

Thanks. I visited the cemetery a few years ago and included all those on Findagrave: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSln=Tindell&GSiman=1&GScid=95751&, plus Susan (Tindell) Goodall's family: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=51386906. My husband and I are from Ottumwa and he is the Tindell relative.

Hello! Thanks for posting the photo of John Johnson buried in Ottumwa. I created a memorial for his wife. Would you upload that same headstone photo to her memorial as well?
I got her connected with her parents. :)
Thanks! Jolee Dunkin
