Photo requests at Abbey View
Alesia - I just claimed two photo requests at Abbey View, but if you plan to do them let me know and I'll "unclaim" them so you can claim them. Thought you might be busy and missed seeing these. Stephen

RE: connaly at abbey
Alesia - I saw it was still there when making a run to Acacia for several, you should have taken it until you felt better. You have 14 days to complete, always better to get them before you go otherwise someone will be there with you! ha. Stephen

RE: Hansen and Mallang
Alesia,

Thank you so much for your efforts to photograph my family tombstones,

I've already communicated the Find a Grave Links, with the additional tombstone photos to my family members and Geneology fols in Norway. They're very excited and grateful also.

Our family tree efforts have been going on in Norway for over 10 years, with 15 people researching. One of the members, Anne Johannesdotter Mallaugstraedet (Mallaugstraedet/Marlostraedet) AKA Anna Mallang (Mallaugstraedet) and her son Edward A. Mallang Sr (Born Eilev Antonsen Mallaugstraedet (Marlostraedet)), Immigrated to the USA from Skjaak, Norway, on April 18, 1913. She later met and married Henry Hansen and they relocated to Everett, WA.

The father of Edward A. Mallang Sr (Eilev), was Anton Olsson Enstulen, who already had a family and children in Norway. Edward A. Sr, took his mothers maiden name 'Mallaugstraedet'. Upon immigrating to the USA in 1913, the name became 'Mallang'.

Edward Sr's father, Anton Enstulen, immigrated to the USA left his family in Norway, and immigrated to North Dakota to Homestead around 1910. He left his Wife and Children in Norway, and she later married another Norwegian. Only Christian, Anton's son from Norway, immigrated to the USA to later homestead with his father.

Anna and Son Eilev immigrating to the USA in 1913, I believe was an attempt by Anna to reclaim her love, and the father of Eilev, by re-uniting with Anton. But, she met and married C Hansen instead.

Edward Sr, is my Grandfather. He kept the name 'Mallang', and rebuked any interest in Anton, including inheiritance from Anton when he died. I believe that my Grandfather was deeply hurt by the events, and wanted nothing to do with his father.

It seems that Anton, was a piece of work, eh?

Anyway, The family in Norway and the Geneologists, lost track of Anna when she and Eilev immigrated to the USA and the name changed. So, there was an entire branch of the tree that was absent.

Last year, a got a phone call from Norway, and spoke with a man named 'Terje Randen'. Seems, he's my cousen 3 times removed. He got a lead on the new possible name, and found my wife's 'Facebook' page, which included a phone number. He called, and I answered. I confirmed that Anna and Eilev, was Anne Mallaugstraedet and Son Eilev. Needless to say, a bunch of Norwegians were extatic that they had made the link!

I've been filling in the blanks, very agressively, here in the USA, and they've been heavily researching to augment my efforts. We've added nearly 1200 to the USA tree in the last year.

The entire tree now goes back 42 generations!

But C Hansen, was the Husband of Anna Mallaugstraedet only. He's actually not related except by marriage.

I know very little about him. I don't even have the actual Birth and Death Dates for him. Only the years of birth and death. If he had a family before he married Anna, I don't know. But I do believe that he had some children from prior.

The other 'Hansen' graves that you located, my well be associated with C Henry Hansen's prior family. I would be most interested in whatever information you have regarding them, as well as specific interest in the Find a Grave Memorials that you create for them. Should the in fact be related to C Henry Hansen, I would be happy to either create the memorial, or accept a transfer to my contributor number (#48046588)

I hope your'll email me the links to the new memorials. I'll certainly task myself and many Norweigans, to research, and link, as appropriate.

So, again, thank you for your efforts on my behlalf. And know, that those tombstone photos are very important findings for a lot of interested family both in the USA and Norway.

I'll be very happy to receive any additonal background or surrounding photos that you said you'd send later.

Our tree is on GENI.COM, and there are no less than 200 collaborators on my tree. All that is researched, found, documented, is uploaed to the profiles for these people. So, know that it's all organized and shared internationally. Most of the collaborators, have chose to follow my activities on the tree, thus, they get notified via email and GENI.COM, of all updates and changes.

It's a pretty effecient process, and most professional. These seasoned Norwegian Geneology professionals, have taken by into the family, and tought me so mucy. They've truly touched and blessed me, as have you!

Warmest of Regards,

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I just now check the Rose Hill book I have and the oldest year of death I see is 1878.
