RE: Sewell Greely
I'll definitely try to get back there. Only had a few minutes to look around the first time...

RE: Sewell Greely
Hi Mary -
A few thoughts:
1. You probably know that the findagrave memorial has the first name spelled wrong - Sewall instead of Sewell. You may want to suggest an edit, if you haven't done so already.
2. As for the family around the tree, I looked but could not find a stone with the name Winfield. The other markers in the area are already on findagrave, on other individuals' memorials. But, I could not find Winfield, at least in the immediate vicinity. If I can, I'll go back and walk around the rest of the grounds to see if I can find him.
3. The name Winfield Scott: Being born in 1862, I'm wondering if he was named after General Winfield Scott (of Mexican War fame), or after General Winfield Scott Hancock (of Civil War fame). Just curious.
4. Finally, and quite coincidentally, one of my co-workers just happens to be the great-grandson of Sewell Flag Greely. I asked him in the hallway about Sewell, and he knew immediately who I was talking about, and where he is burried. Perhpas you know him - but I'll e-mail you his contact information; perhaps he can provide you some information that would be helpful to you.
Best Regards,
Scott

RE: Coates
I'm not familiar with the Coates family. The only one I have heard of was the Grandmother of a boy I went to school with. His name was David Reed and I think he lives in or near Jefferson City, MO.

RE: VanDuzers- Jacks Cemetary
I have never been to the cemetery. Just completed the memorial information from my family database once I found the husband.
