There are no graves for anyore by the surname of Wendt in the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, not even in the original sexton's lists. I have looked at the cemetery lists for a number of Tuscola County cemeteries, but have found no Wendts listed. I did find quite a few Wendt references among the death certificates (1897-1920) on the Seeking Michigan website, but without a first name and (hopefully) a year of death I can't begin to look at all of them. There are several Wendt references among the indexed obituaries on the "Public Libraries of Saginaw Obituary Index" website where the place of burial is listed. This website often includes people who died in Tuscola and Genesee counties. The obituary index also states in which newspaper the obituary appeared, so you can write for a copy of it. If you are SURE that your great-grandparents died in the Caro area and have names and dates of death for them, you can write Rita Easlick at the Caro Public Library and see if she can locate an obituary among the archives. Good luck! Joann

I can't find any information on Minnie Opperman's parents aside from what you mentioned on Ancestry.com. In the 1880 census there is a "Nunn" Opperman (5 years old) who might be Minnie. If you look closely at the document, you will see that "Nunn" resembles "Minnie". Since Minnie was your ancestor, I will assume you know who her parents were. Therefore, I have changed the names of her parents to Carl and Laura Opperman. If you would prefer that I remove their names, just let me know.

It is also very possible that Asaph had two marriages, since Rhoda died relatively young and Asaph lived another 20+years.
Please keep me posted if you find additional information.
