George Kail #64536966
Hi - I claimed your request and I am sad to report that I was not able to provide you with a photo of the gravestone.

The cemetery used a narrow concrete slab (about 5 inches wide by 16 inches long)with a three digit plot number stamped onto it as the gravestone. Names were not stamped onto to the narrow concrete slab.

The sign posted on the cemetery grounds does "not" include George Kail's name.

Another online source does list George's name among those buried in the cemetery, however his plot number is not listed in the other cemetery list.

I am thinking that his name was not included on the sign posted in the cemetery because his plot number is "unknown". I read that the Winnebago County (Wisconsin) Parks Department and the Winnebago County (Wisconsin) Historical Society had worked on a project to identify those buried in the cemetery. To further research, it might be helpful to contact these groups.

As a side note: Most times - even with a plot number, it is impossible to locate the concrete slab gravestone. The concrete markers lay flat on the ground and over time the markers have been covered with dirt and grass.

Please keep me posted if you are able to determine a plot number and I'll go out and try to locate the gravestone and take a picture. I wish I had been able to be of more help . . .

You are very welcome. I took an additional picture of the entire grave site if you would like it. The other name was Vivian and since no spouse was listed , I was unsure about adding it to the site. Let me know. email:

Sorry, I also tried to find an answer to your question a couple of years ago with no luck. My guess is you would have to send an email straight to "find a grave" to get an answer.
At the time I even looked in the forum section with no results. Good luck!!!

You're welcome. It is hard as it is inside the chapel and the lights are not the best in there and there wasn't a switch where I could turn it off and it is one of the top two rows so I have to point up to get the photo. Was it readable enough for you?
