RE: Albert Mann
Hi Tim,
Sorry for the long delay getting back to you, but life happens... I'm retired Modesto PD, 29 years behind the badge. I did some quick looking for Albert here in Stanislaus County. The cemetery records indicate he is buried at Knights Ferry, but no marker could be located. In the California Voters Registration I located an Albert Mann b. abt 1819 in Vermont, a blacksmith, 65 years, and lived in East Modesto (the cemetery is located in east county). I also located apparently the same person in the 1880 census living in Merced Falls, Merced County, b. Vermont, divorced and a blacksmith. I don't know if this is the same Albert as in Knights Ferry as I also located other Albert's in Merced and San Joaquin Counties, which adjoin Stanislaus. Sorry I couldn't help more. Enjoy the retirement, there IS life after police work.
All the best.

RE: Albert Mann
Hi Tim,
The information on Albert was obtained from cemetery records in 1991. The burial cards showed him to be buried in Oak Grove Cemetery (Knights Ferry) but no plot was noted and no stone was located for him.
Sorry I can't help more.
All the best.
