RE: Ezra James Tripp
I confirmed David was James Ezra's father because I knew James was from Shelby county, IL. I found him on a census in Shelby county with his daughter, my 2nd great grandmother Barbara, and was able to get an estimate of his age. I then found him as a child (where the name, age, and location--Shelby co, IL--all lined up) in the 1850 and 1860 censuses with parents David and Jane. For James Oliver Tripp, I found his death certificate on ancestry which names his parents as Ezra Tripp and Susan McDermitt. Also, I found his WWI and WWII draft cards which say he was born in St. Charles in 1883. This collaborates with James Ezra and Susan living in St. Charles in the early 1880s since Barbara was also born in St. Charles in 1884. I hope this helps.

RE: Ezra James Tripp
I do have some information on James Ezra's parents. What kind of information are you interested in? His parents David and Jane (Redfern) Tripp's memorials are linked from his memorial page. They were married in Jackson county, Ohio on March 27, 1844. David married Sarah Luckenbill (her last name from a previous marriage) Sept 16, 1880 in Shelby county, IL. I found the copies of the original marriage records on Family Search. He can be found in multiple Federal Censuses as well. His military records can be obtained from the National Archives, which I sent in for his compiled service records (muster rolls and discharge papers). If you have questions or want more info, then feel free to email me: I am descended from Ezra and Malinda's daughter Barbara Tripp Perryman. She's my 2nd great grandmother.

RE: Edgar Cemetary
Thanks Debbie. The Edgar Co. Gen. Society has a cemetery index for all the cemeteries in the county. Hopefully George will show up there. They list info about where the graves are located. It will probably be July before I could visit them.

If you click on the photo to open it up (the newspaper article photo) then click on it a second time, it will enlarge it. Hope that helps!
