I have a long running interest in genealogy which has served me well as both a former history teacher and as a current member of the DAR.|
I have used Find A Grave many times in researching my own family history. I am very grateful for the time spent by those volunteers who were willing & able to provide me with information I might not have been able to collect otherwise, and I want to help others by doing the same.
I'm always glad to transfer the management of memorials to close family members. If you are closely related, please let me know!

Thank you for correcting Mary Dunn's Memorial. I know that you will transfer memorials to family members.I'm not a blood relative. But her daughter Pat and My wife and I are the grandparents of her and Hubies four great grandsons.
If you could find away to transfer her and son that you have under your control, it would be greatly appreciated.

p.s if you should visit Fairview Cemetery this summer could you update the Dunn stone.

I am conducting deep-background research on the Gurlers in DeKalb. Article in ROCKFORD DAILY REGISTER-GAZETTE Friday December 24,1897 is a little ambiguous.("Of Our Neighbors:Items of Interest from Rockford Suburbs--DeKalb).Wish to know names of H.B.Gurler's children.

I did not see a way to communicate privately with you on this matter. Thank you so much for adding new info for my great aunt. There is need for a correction. Augusta's maiden name(non-patronymic) was Wedberg. Wendell is the married name for her sister, Anna-Lena Wedberg. If I typed that incorrectly, I am so sorry for this extra work.

|KMN||RE: Use of your Photos|
Mary ... Thank you for permission to use your photo for my family member. As for taking over the memorial, I need to say "not at this time". I am so buried in England and Sweden research that I seldom get back to findagrave despite my love for it. I have so many pots on burners that I need to say no (for now). I will keep your message. I really need to go in and figure out lots of things with findagrave. What exactly would my responsibilities be to take over management of a person's site? I would probably do any of my Darnell family once I get my multiple piles of new information put into a tree and have firm information. Does the permission to use your find-a-grave photo also give me permission to use others you have contributed as long as I give credit to you? I will be back in touch with you regarding management if and when I feel that I can take on more. I appreciate the work you have done. Karen

|KMN||Use of your Photos|
Although I have taken a photos of my paternal grandmother's gravestone, I wondered if you would give me permission to add and source your photos of her gravestone and that of her husband (John B Wendell) in my internet ancestral trees. I appreciate your efforts and would like to bring those efforts to the next level giving you the recognition you deserve. If I ever get a smart phone and app, and get the chance to go back to Veddige, Sweden, I would volunteer in a flash to do photos as well. (I am beginning to believe that parish records for Veddige, Halland, Sweden are going to be the last place that gets digitized. Finding translated records has been futile in most cases - I think the gravestones in the Veddige Parish Cemetery would be a goldmine of information for people in Kane County - There is a whole book on people who emigrated from Veddige to Batavia, Kane, IL, but it is in Swedish with no translation and no longer being printed. Once again ... thanks for your work.

|Susan W||Albert B Havens|
Hi! When I walked the cemetery, I found a cluster of 3 markers, one of which is an Albert B Havens. The dates on the memorial are 1814-1888 but the marker I found with the same name shows 1858-1935. The stone says "Father" and is with one for "Mother" Clara Colson Havens 1862-1940. In between those two is a small metal marker for Edna Havens 1888-1972. I uploaded pics to Clara and Edna's memorials including a shot of the family grouping. I created memorial for this Albert as there was not another Albert B showing in this cemetery and the dates were too far off to be the correct one. I will mark your photo request under "report a problem" but I will be back out at that cemetery in the next couple weeks sometime and will look again. Let me know if you would like me to transfer Albert to you. Thanks! Susan
