John B Goforth
I just found out from Phyllis and your dad. They said that grandpa(Ernest) took his father's body to be buried in Sugar Creek Cemetery in Choctaw County, Ok. And as far as we know its was buried there. But it could be an unmarked grave. It should be close to his father's grave (John B. Goforth 1856). But you might check with the cemetery caretaker.

RE: John B Goforth
Lana,
I heard Grandpa Ernest say as much cause he thought they might have been apart of our family ,but I haven't found anything to say that they were. Phyllis did say that our John B. Goforth B. 1889 D. 1953 lived in Broken Bow with his other family she also told me that. She did say he was married about 5 times though. He died of a heart attack in the middle of his field in Broken Bow. When they found him his body was so black that his son told his mother that there was some black man laying in our field. I can't find where he was buried or if he was creamated.

Have you ran across a grave for John B Goforth born. 1889 died 1953. The last place he lived was Broken Bow. Phyllis said, that the was found in his field in Broken Bow. Died of a heart attack. But no one knows where he was buried. This is Ernest's dad. His parents are buried in the Sugar Creek cemetery, down by Atoka.

Please check the memorial for Nedy.
I think I can transfer it to you,
I'll try if you would like for me to.
Anything else with cemetery names dates etc. We could come up complete on Martin VanBuren's
family

Thanks for the e-mail that you sent today.
Appreciate any information that I can get to link families together.
Can you send anything else, that isn't hardly enough, I can't post. I need their names ages cemeteries, etc. It's good to see you younger people to take interest, as us older people are leaving everyday and then no records can be found.
I have never been to the cemetery, but it is about 12/15 miles from where I live.
Keep in touch and send me anything that you can find.

Goforth
Since the Dec 24 date 1924 it probably is
the Goforth brothers who parished in the fire.
But I have no way of knowing for sure.
I grew up and lived close to Babbs Switch,
and was in the new school after it was re built.
They have a memorial at the cemetery of the
ones who are buried there. I cannot say if the
Goforth brothers are buried along with the
rest that died in the fire, who have all the same identical markers,
they maybe buried in another place in the
cemetery. The Goforth Farm was not far from
the school.
