RE: Mary A. Pennington Parham
Hi Shirley,

Thanks for the update! Ancestry seems to be missing a lot of information I've noticed. Sometimes it pays to get information the old fashioned way. I've also noticed that the contributors on Ancestry (whomever is supplying their databases) have a lot of misspellings and other errors.

That's strange that Mr. Zimmerman hasn't responded. Maybe I jinxed it by saying he was a quick responder. But that was my experience. It could be he's out of town or busy with other projects. I wouldn't give up, he may answer yet.

I hope your brother got a copy of their marriage certificate. I was born and raised in Bloomington so I did purchased copies of many ancestor's marriage certificates and for some they even gave me a copy of the application.

Continued luck on your search and thanks for keeping me informed!

RE: Mary A. Pennington parham
Hi Shirley,
Most likely the person who set up the memorial is the one who added Pennington to her name. In this case, TW Zimmerman. You can contact him on FindAGrave or by email (it's listed on his profile) to ask about how/why he added her maiden name; he's very quick to respond. I did check his messages and someone asked him to update a Pennington memorial. The message is from J.C.M. and listed as Pennington Links, this person would be another good lead if you recognize the names in their message as relatives to Mary.

With the additional information you provided I'll see if I can find any information on the birth of Lizzie or the marriage record of William and Mary.

Take care,

RE: Mary A. Pennington parham
I had an aunt by marriage with the last name Pennington, but no direct lines in my family.

I checked out Ancestry to see if I could find a marriage record for you, but had no luck.

You probably already have this information, but just in case, I did find:

Mary A. Pennington
BIRTH: 15 Jun 1833 - Monroe, Indiana
DEATH: 28 Jul 1876 - Indiana
PARENTS: Joseph Pennington, Nancy Edwards
SPOUSE: William Hale Parham
BIRTH: 10 Nov 1832 - Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana
DEATH: 15 Nov 1910 - Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana

According to the 1900 Census William was widowed and boarding with the Rush family in Perry Township, Monroe County, Indiana

I would be happy to do a more thorough search if given more information about her parents. Good luck! I know genealogy can be very frustrating at times, but also rewarding.

RE: allen parham
Hello, If you would like me to transfer Allen to you, just let me know. Walkers cemetery is like five minutes from my house, but I have no family there.
