I've taken over 298,634 photos in 49 cemeteries in multiple states. I've contributed many to this site and the majority to other "non-profit" web projects. Having seen more than a few markers, I've decided what I want my future headstone epitaph to be . . . "Hey, you with the weed eater . . . come over here". (big grin)
I'm not a Newb to computers or the Internet. I wrote my first tic-tack-toe program in FORTRAN on punched cards (1976) before there even was a WWW (world wide web).
I recently retired from a Fortune 500 as the senior network administrator. Yeah, I'm a professional computer geek.
Info pending - If you see this note on a recently created memorial, it means exactly what it says. I'm not done with it yet. No, it has not been abandoned.
Public Messages - My public messages are disabled because people kept requesting transfers, updates, pizza deliveries, etc., without using the SAC edit tab on the appropriate memorial. This was happening daily. I'd have to stop what I was doing and ask which memorial, etc., all things they should have (but didn't) include in the request. It was taking a LOT of time to support these folks. Shutting off the public messages forces them to use the SAC method so I have all the needed memorial numbers to make the changes.
Errors - Any errors in spelling, tact or fact are data transmission errors caused by solar flares and big fat butterflies flapping their wings in Brazil. You don't think I'd make errors do you? (big grin) Just kidding, I can guarantee you I make occasional errors. I want to know about them so I can fix them.
FAQ's - Please read the FAQ's. It's your responsibility to learn how to use this site and that process starts with you reading the FAQ's. Yes, there are many very helpful people here that will help but that's no excuse or substitute for you reading the FAQ's.
Remember back in school, how you could spot a freshman a mile away? It's the same here for the people that have not read the FAQ's and no, it's not an attractive look.
